With all the update's PD have being doing recently, I can't understand why the only info we recieve while racing is how far we are behind the leader or how far you are infront of second place if your leading.

This is not that much of a problem in sprint races but when you are doing one or two pits during a race, knowing how far infront or behind other drivers you are can be the difference between a good strategy and a bad one.

Would It be to much to ask for PD to put the time differences next to each drivers name?

Maybe even coloured sector times like F1 when you do the fastest sector or lap.

Maybe a Tire symbol to tell you what tires people are on.

Something I miss in GT is a bit more of racing interaction, as in the feel of being part of a racing team.

Maybe not just info, per se, but overall dialogue and feedback. Are my times consistent? Should I try to save the tires for a longer stint? Do I have to overtake the guy in front now?

Of course those things are not top priority to me, but they'd add to the sense of participating in something larger.

PD could start by implementing more detail to categories, like better LMS pits, even with repairs and brake discs changes; more NASCAR circuits, more attention to DTM, Super GT...

I am happy they finally allowed us to turn off some of that info. No more driver names, map, flashing gears etc. It would be nice to bring up the stuff you want to see with a mappable button push though.

I agree all these things should be optional with the ability to be turn on and off as too much info can be distracting and everyone has personal perference.

Having a pit crew giving info over a radio type thing would be really cool but it does sound like something for GT6 rather than an update. They could give you weather predictions so you could make a more informed decision on what tires you should be on or change to ect. Also give you advice like you say on your times, tire wear, if another driver infront or behind is faster/slower/pitted ect.

But right now I would be happy with just knowing how far infront or behind each driver is around me. If I'm sitting 10th out of 16 drivers and I get told I'm 30seconds behind the leader, most of the time this is pretty much useless information to me at that point during the race.

What do you think this is, some sort of racing simulation? Why would you want to know anything about anything besides whether you're winning or losing?

Erm ok?

 yeah thanks for your input 👎

Sorry, I'll translate: These things would be great and some are only basic common sense to any racer, but don't hold your breath.

Sometimes I forget that levity is banned on GTP.

This is a very good idea and many will agree with you in needing this info, if not real time just a relay from each sector split. It would be sweet to have small box in the bottom right corner of the screen with the intervals of the 3 cars in front and the 3 cars behind...

yup that would be good it would give you a better idea what sectors you need to improve compared to the guys around you. :)

I'd also like to see a color notification if a player's car has taken damage. Maybe their name goes to red.

Other ideas would be great to have as well.

That's to logical for PD. they like to do things that don't make much sense.

That would actually be a great help when racing with heavy damage, if you know the person infront has damage you might be a wee bit more careful when overtaking them. Also you would know they'll most likely be running abit slower and maybe pitting soon. 👍

a wee p symbol by their name too?

The strategy pane on the HUD of F1 2011 should be lauded.

The fact that I can see what my projected pit in lap should be, according to strategy, and the ability to see where I might rejoin the field after a pit is a huge help.

Every serious racing game should have that.

I want to have all my hud off, but then i have to pause the race, and put it back on to see when i need to pit. I wish there was some indication(or voice) that pops up, and tells you when to pit, or how much fuel you have left, or tyre wear. I want hud off, but some notification when to pit.
