I think gt4 should have more races. In gt3 i dont think there was enough races there where alot but they dident take long to beat i mean after all this is a raceing game.

What do you call the Endurance Races? Anyway more races would be a welcome addition especially considering the huge amount of Tracks GT4 is said to have and the amount of cars too.

I just hope the hard races don't all have 15 laps a piece especially on Test Course

More like GT1 or GT2 would do me.

If there was more of a mix with the lap times so there were some short and some long races on each dificulty, more endurance races but with only 2 prize cars, cos in GT4 the prize cars won't be shared with other competitions so I wouldn't wan't to do each race 4 times, more one car championships and seperate the GT league and special events again or do somthing similar so you move throught the national cups to the internationals and then the world championship, make every cup a series not single races but keep the option to race an individual race at any point in the series.

Thats my preference anyway but whatever hapens it will be ace anyway.

'CUSTOM EVENT GENERATOR' please!

how about being able to pick cars from your own garage to race against. That would be so cool

Why would you want to race against cars in your own garage? I can understand having an event generator to make races with any car in the game.

maybe a challenge for those wh dont have online capabilities? dunno it sounds cool though =)

The event generator would be great, you could select the tracks and the restrictions on what cars or types of car can enter and Bhp limits, it would keep the game going a lot longer than without it.

yea thats sounds awesome, like have diffrent car companies sponsor your race and give you money and you decide which place gets how much or whatever, I think another feature should be like a trophy case where every series has its own trophies and you can look at em or whatever i dunno just a silly idea, but anyways i think that would be great for online racing too, like sponsering a race and rewarding other racers with your money or like if a race team sponsers a race the memebers dumb a little bit of money each and again you choose the restrictions and other online gamers could race or whatever...

What do you guys think about someone starting up a website or even this site where people could e-mail the webmaster and post up diffrent races, like one racing team vs another at a certain time and day or whatever, or even posting up an open invitation for other racing teams to go against yours... what do you think of that?

I would like that game-system bring back the one introduced in the first GT and discard this begginer-amateur-professional crap with no logical saturation and motivation in obtaining the completition percent.

To make difference between:

- World Championship Leagues (the system introduced in GT2 was great, but it lacked the phenomenal "vs." races as USA vs. Japan etc. from first game, but it had Nation Chnps which was very good)

- Special Events (different types of races, series races, cups and whatever)

- Series Races (like manufactorers cups or whatever)

- Endurance Races

- Rally Races

Bring back HP llimitation and good old rule: "If you can't beat competition in some races, then you're simply not good enough - so - practice more".

But, in the end, it will probably be something completelly different.

A no Mods/ standard car only on any course, Difficulty Hard

In fact a selection of limited Mod races ala GT, would be nice.

Because you could set the difficulty as you want.
You could create races that don't exist. The event generator is very limited in GT3 (or was it GT2?).

I like comparing cars, and spend hours trying to beat my own ghosts. With selecting my own cars, I could take a slighly slower car (to compensate the AI being slower) and race 5 at the same time.

It would also allow you to compare 6 cars, tuned to +/- the same level.

I really liked the way GT2 was setup, with that world tournament deal, something where you have to beat certain races to unlock other races such as the last Need for speed game was, in GT3 you unlocked races by getting your licenses which is alright but make the game interesting, make it where, when you get your IA license you unlock 2-3 races or series and once you beat all three you then unlock the next 3 races in a IA license section, and the same with the rest of the licenses. Either that or bring back the worl tourny like in gt2, have more muscle car races but with limitation to only muscle cars, more "car specific races" like a corvette series, or golf series, or impeza, or skyline etc... with the amount of tracks that are supposed to be in GT4 I just hope that have atleast 2-3 times the amount of races in GT4, but again dont make it boring.

Yes, rather different types of car specific races, than friggin' 200 laps of a boring circuit ... like who wans to race ANY track for 15 laps ...

It proves nothing ... cause you can get a much more powerful car and just drop them on the 1st lap ... rather have hp restrictions or somethin'

I'd like to be able to create those mini series' which you can do in TOCA race driver, and set the cars and AI

I liked the long races in GT3. I think long races (10 laps or more) add to the realism of the game. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a 2 lap race on TV??? THis is the real driving simulator, is it not???

I forget GT also appeals to Garage Junkies and 100% braggers, whos only interest is to get all the best cars or 100% who want it all as fast as possible, with out taking any time to savour the game.
Surely 15+ laps of close quarter, enticing racing with closely matched competitors...and losing, is far more staisfying than dumping An Over HP'd car for a 2 lap blast just to chalk up another 1% and prize car.
Or am I Wrong?

Personally Just To really anoy those who have no appreciation for the finer elements of GT, I Would like to See an Enduro series Championship (think 10-15 enduros), with really hard AI, HP limits and a really top end One Off Prize car for series victory.
Wouldnt that be Cruel:lol:

Most of the races take around 25 mins though :irked: which might be realistic but boring as hell. (or atleast I find em boring, test course anyone?)

If GT3 was perfect where the game showed the sensation of speed a bit better with realistic AI & generally didn't send me to sleep I could maybe tolerate the races being 15 laps.

Sadly GT3 isn't perfect, seems like they were trying to make up for GT3 lacking substance to me (I.e. fewer cars & tracks) just so it still took ages to complete.

Oh yeah GT3 only had 5 other cars on the grid so it ain't realistic with lotsa laps anyway :) TOCA Race Driver is good for that on PC.

That would be a great challenge, cruel and cool. I hope they put more endurance races in GT4, and with 100 tracks thats almost a given, as long as each one has unique prize cars cos thats what put me off GT3's a little, I hated the fact that I won the Spoon S2000 for 2 hours of racing and I'd won it before in other cups.

And the thing that annoys me the most !!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to buy an Audi TT to do the TT races ... and what do you win ... another friggin' Audi TT !!!! How's that for darfed !!!

I hate that crap ! :banghead:

Yap, there's lot of big time sucking in prize and rewards system in GT3.

It'd be cool if they'd modified the system form the second game - popular "Series Races" where all the manufactorers had their one-model cups - and that in some kind of TT cup you get a DTM TT for the prize, and only there.

They should made such a cups (or even championships) where manufactorer would give a best car - like Toyota would give Castrol Supra in Toyota Supra Series Cup or whatever, especially if there would be few versions of prize cars with ddiffernet numbers or sponsor-details.

And Endurance Championship would rock, that's for sure.
