Firstly i'd like to say thanks for a great afternoons racing on the 24hr nurburgring course today.
I like to say that for me the idea of getting in a half decent powerful car, taking all the aids off and putting slippery med sports tyres on is a perfect recipe for some great online racing.
Far to many times i enter lobbys stating this/that and on seeing the settings its pretty boring stuff. (500 + bhp, with aids on and super soft racing tyres)
Wheres the challenge in that? I get the idea of driving a car as quick as the car is able to go on a given track but just how many of us could or would drive these cars like that. Just not very realistic to me.
Driving cars like these through the bends on the nurburgrings tighter section flat out without even a hint of lift or blending the throttle is pretty poor.
What we had today were cars that even in a straight line were spinning tyres in third,maybe fourth. The nissan calsonic skyline with aids off and medium sports tyres was something (lets say) tricky. There were som eawesome spower drifting out of corners going on. The cars used in todays racing were having to be DRIVEN just like the cars would have to be in real life. Not many people turn up at a track in say a GTR with race tyres on it, road tyres yeh probably.
For the majority of us a track day is just about as far as racing experience is going to get. Karting is probably the best some have had.
I know, we all just want to go faster and faster. But to me, its just not what we(most of us) will ever experience. So i'd like to say a big thanks for the guys that when in my lobby didnt bicker or rant about POWER, TYRES and AIDS, and just got on with the superb racing we all had.(all the cars were chosen from the suggested online garage)sometimes 1 car, sometimes up to 4 closely matched cars.

Any one whos online and fancies a competitive day of racing on what is possably the best track on the game (Nurburgring) then look for the lobby called "YOU WANT REAL RACING?"
