There is only one car in the entire game you need a TCS of more than 1 for, and that's the Speed 12.

I'd guess your gears are at fault - they sound too short - make them longer for less acceleration and more speed. Possibly you could do with some Limited Slip Differential help - but I know very little about it (I set 5/5/5 always :D).

ASM off please. ASM introduces understeer, which in very powerful FR cars then graduates to snap-oversteer. Don't bother with it.

The Racing Transmission automatically sets your gears very short. Set them with AutoGear so the last green line touches the top right corner of the graph - that's roughly 200mph, which is what an 800hp FR should be doing...

Hey Famine its OVERSTEERING with all that ASM instead of understeering. I admit its odd tho ;)

Grego, when you bought the racing tranny for your 300ZX, did u change any settings on it? Because sometimes, when you buy a racing tranny, the auto level gets set to really low. This makes all of your gears really short, and you will have alot more wheel spin. Whats your top speed on the car with the current setup? How much hp does your 300ZX have? If its oversteering alot, try putting some grippier tires in the rear.

I suggest you go back to the License tests to learn better acceleration control. Remember, that X button is pressure sensitive. It takes a lot of practice, but I'm sure you will get the hang of it! :D

Good Tip: Practice throttle control before the launch of a race. Try setting the engine RPM's to 3,000, then to 4,000, and so forth. Put the the throttle position at 3,000 RPM when accelerating and you shouldn't spin out anymore. :)

I sudgest changing the acceleration button to the analog stick to learn how to use variable acceleration...It's alot easier to control the pressure and how much you accelerate with the analog stick than it is with the X button.....However, I find it easier to drift with the X button, simply because pressure isn't really as MUCH of an issue, seeing as how you can just release the button and then stomp on it over and over and over....

Uhh, I guess you should take the ASM down to zero, the TCS for that car should be on 2 at the most, even with 1000 bhp...;) Just take care, and change the gear ratios, just make it "auto setting" 35. ;)

No famine was right, it's understeer going to snap overtseer.

Example.

When the car goes into the corner, and it understeers your natural reaction is to turn more. Well you keep turning, and eventually the rear end breaks loose, however because now you have the car turning to hard to the left, when the rear end goes it changes to complete oversteer.

Do what famine said.
