No offence Z E V, But these are words of a typical MERC-freak who can't see the whole picture. Gt4 4 isn't about merc's only, it's racing, with every brand that is available on the market today and ofcourse a few yaers ago. A game isn't good if one specific car is included and it isn' t bad if a specific car isn't.
I am not a Merc-Freak by any means, I just believe they should included the halo cars of every brand they include in the game. The SL is Mercedes' current Flagship sports model (untill of course the super-halo-flagship SLR comes out), that's why I think it should be included. The Skyline is the flagship of Nissan, that is one of the reasons there are so many of them, same with the Lancer and GTO/3000GT for Mitsubishi, and Corvette for Chevy. Thats also why you don't see the Chevy Lumina in GT3, it's not anywhere near halo or flagship status and doesnt have a sports following (or even sports capability for that matter).
I also missed the BMW M models in GT3, who wants to be driving around in a sub-3 liter straight six, when you know there should be a 3.3 liter straight six under the hood. I also missed the Alfa Romeo GTV/Spyder, and 147 (only one car available from this great maker?![though I'm not sure if the 147 was out at the time now that I think about it]), no RS6 or RS4 from Audi, no Lancia Stratos (one of the greatest race cars of all times for goodness sake!), and no V-12 E-Type from Jaguar (could cars be any more beautiful?). Consequently I dont use BMW, Audi, or Alfa much in GT3.
I fully understand and agree with having all of the makes and models in the game (I wouldn't even look twice at it on the shelf if it only had Mercs in it), but the first thing that came to mind when we were talking about having more tuners was the absolutely mad Brabus E V-12, which then brought me to the only other Mercedes models that really got my blood going, the SL, SLR, and also the classic SL 300.
I should also note I havent raced in a Mercedes in over 6 months, I've been tuning my AE86, R34, RX-7, and trying to see how good I can get in cars like the Speed 12 with ASM and TCS off with sim tires.
Sorry I ranted so long, I just get so fumed when people say I have blatant prejudices which I do not, in fact, have. Half the time I spend in car website forum is wasted scrolling through biased and inane bull, so being accused of the very thing that pisses me off so much really got to me. I just want to drive great cars, tune them to be greater, and get better at racing. Maybe one day I can get a job on my cousins racing team working on Integras, or the RSX, or maybe the new CTS.
