In 1964 Morgan released the fibreglass bodied Plus Four Plus, so called because it was based on Plus Four mechanicals. With a weight of 1800 pounds and 110bhp it was a lively performer for 1964. It was introduced because Morgan felt that they needed to modernise their range, however it was a sales flop with only 26 models sold before it was withdrawn in 1967. Morgan learned from this experience that they must embrace their history and stick with traditional models. As so few were made the cars are now highly sought after.

Yes - Plus Four was already a funny name for a car as in the UK it is a style of trousers favoured by English gentlemen so Plus Four Plus is an even stranger name.

Yes, it's a nice car in some angles, but the roofline is to egg-shaped for me ....
