I'm surprised this thread hasn't been made yet. Have any of you guys played the Mortal Kombat Demo? It's really fun. Right now its just 1-player or local 2-player, but there's gonna be an update to where the demos going to be online. The game's coming out on April 19.

It seems kool, but I won't be getting it. I mean, I know it kould be awesome, but i've never really been a fan of this series.

I say everybody who posts on this thread should use K instead of C. It would be kool.
 
Yup, definitely kan't wait to play it. Got the demo and thought it was pretty kool, and looks better than the last Kombat games for PS2, so yeah I'll buy.
 
Try the "Test Your Luck" part of the game. I ended up in a match against Jade with no arms! Just bloody stumps. lol. It was kool :)
 
i would also like to say that this game is awesome. the last mk game i played was ultimate mk3, and i was a kid. I played the demo and loved and bought the game about 30 mins ago. Not really deep into it obviously but the graphics are superb and the gameplay is excellent. I know that there are fans of certain fighting game such as Tekken (had it, sold it) and SF4 ( cool at first but made obsolete with release of the Super SF4, sold it). MK so far is the most dynamic of the 3, plus the gore factor is hilarious. Some may take offense but i find it pretty funny.

Anyways i like the game and have been a hardcore tekken and sf fan for years and for me to say that MK has taken the lead (to me) in the fighting game genre says alot....
 
Completed story mode today. Great, great game, especially as a single-player experience in a fighting game. As a fan of MK I/II/III I really enjoyed the story and the gameplay mechanics are great. I haven't even started on the challenge tower, or even the arcade ladder, so there'll be some life it too.

I never really played any of the games (seriously at least) after MK 4 (which put me off the series), but this reboot has brought it right back. If you're a fan of the originals, definitely worth a purchase in my opinion.

I'm playing through story mode as well, but I am stuck. I'm at the point where you play as Liu Kang vs. Shao Khan. Any tips? How the heck do I beat this guy? I must have tried 20-30 times. Please help!

I have beat the story mode, Whenever Shao Kahn laughs or talks, uppercut the crap out of him, I use a 4 hit kombo starting with a jumping lp, lp hp, high fireball. That is the hard way to beat him, another way is to stay away from him and low fireball constantly.👍

I think I'll try the demo when PSN is back online.
 
Finally finished the story. I hadn't played much recently. But they did a great job with it. I hope they come out with a patch for the audio :(. I can barely hear the voices when they talk. My receiver is normally at -35, but to hear anything in the game I had to bump it up to -20. The bass is almost overwhelming at that point. lol. Then there were a couple audio glitches as well. Great game still. I like how they did the krypt. I unlocked everyones secon fatalities last night.
 
I have beaten story mode, unlocked all crypts and second costumes. I am stuck on the challenge tower #251. It is the one where you fight Baraka, Sindel, and Shao Kahn on one life bar.:yuck:
