Many people /have/currently/will go on about their favourite drift car. I for example love the FT-86 G. But what is it like at the other end of the scale? I want to know what car you hate the most to drift. A rear wheel drive (or 4wd) car which you feel is rubbish (not a FF). My idea of a bad drift car (this will p**s some people off) is the GT-86. Coming out of some corners the time between selecting to change gear and it actually changing gear is rubbish and the car feels gutless even with full engine upgrades IMO.

The McLaren MP4-12C. Going around turn 3 at Rome, it will turn in, drift, then the rear end will suddenly grip and the car will careen into the opposite wall. I'm not the world's best driver, but it should be more predictable.

Vipers, Corvettes, Camaros, Z33 and Z34 because THAT'S ALL I SEE PEOPLE USE IN D1GP's!!!!

RWD Volvo Saloon car sucks for drifting. It's heavy and has no power even with the best turbo installed. I spent hours trying to get that thing to drift properly it's just plain useless.

Bmw m3,s its not that i hate but for example my m3 gtr(standard) has 580 hp weights under 1200 kg and has low gears and it takes evrything to make it spin on 4th gear that is so weird and im on comfort hards it has like a grip cheat or something

There's no rwd volvo saloon. There's a fwd saloon and hatchback but the only rwd volvo is the 240glt estate. Trust me, I have a saloon outside and only wish the game had it instead of the estate. Also, I can make it drift pretty good, slow, but good. I've seen folk online who were better than me at drifting it too.

I like drifting older cars and the only one I haven't liked so far has been the old beetle. Tried that Mitsubishi I concept thing yesterday as I noticed it was MR, but wasn't much good.

RX-7 FD3S Sprit

Speed cheat..

Also hated by many people: Any Vipers and the premium Vette's

Not so much the speed aspect of it for me, but it's just kind of "twitchy" to me. I still have lots to learn about control though.

Btr - nightmare :<

For some reason that was the car I started learning with(rwd anyway). I've found that the more experience I gain, the less I like the BTR as well.

I beg to differ with all of you. I admit it's out of 'it's own' class but it's not that far gone to call everyone using one a cheat. Believe you me there are many drifters out there who can keep up in all sorts of cars with the FD on all sorts of tracks.

If these people you are talking about use a FD Spirit they always have an unbeatable speed advantage

It's not the ride, it's the rider.

FD3S is a fast car, but there are many faster cars in GT5. But FD is the easiest car to drift fast. FD is mostly used by people who can't drift very good and need some car that can easily drift it faster then other cars. In this case it's cheating. But a really fast FD3S is quite rare.

The point is if you can drift fast you will drift fast in any car. If you can't - you will be able to drift only in FD :D

And my disliked car is a Viper SRT10 ACR. I mean it's fast and it's a good ride, but it's very uncomfortable car to drift for me. Also I don't like MR Ferrari's. Just impossible to shift while drifting. They are fast, but uncomfortable.

There's not much a rider can do to be faster except sacrifice angle or grip parts of the track.

If they're using the same car, same tyres, travelling at the same angle, they'll be at the same speed presuming they initiated together and travelled the same line.

The old BMW M3 CSL is another insanely quick car, yet another car I hate to see people following me in.

Estate/Station wagon whatever. It's heavy and has no power. Sure you can drift it but try to link Eiger with it, it's hopeless.

Any yank tank with 100000000000 Bhp , there's just stupidly easy to drift and take the fun out of drifting ...

You have the gearing too tall, try changing the gearing on the GT86, I did and it's now my favourite drift car.

I think the RE Amemiya is my least favourite drift car, because I expect it to be great at drifting, but it's not and every time I give it a chance I end up hating it.

Ruf Yellowbird. Ive had an ok experience with the BTR (it seems a lot more manageable, streetable) but the Yellowbird was the biggest nightmare.

Premium GT1 S2k, I hate that thing with a passion. Its way to fast, and with that big ol park bench on the back, it looks retarded.... :yuck:

I did change the gearing to 210 km, helped it a bit but still doesn't feel like a good car. The standard AE86's can drift standard, all concepts can drift standard but the GT is the only one which can't drift at least okay as standard. For a car made to bring back a legend, it hasn't been to great

I deposit my 2 cents of hate on the Bathurst, also. IF we classify drifting cars in categories (-300hp, C, B, A and S), this RX-7 looks like an A with strugle, but easy can be considered a S class. My rage is not becauze its overpowered, but because yes, its too overused. If these guys like so much FD´s, instead of the Bathurst one, they should prove how good they are using an Spirit version, WITH NO WINGS, just to make it clear what model they are using.

Otherwise, its interesting how people aim all their effort on the top notches cars in the game for get used to drifting. Its a double responsability to not screw up using a top notch, and also a double shame in case of you fail.

It's hard not to like any FR car.. because they're all capable of drifting, I'm going to have to say the FT-86 (The concepts anyways, haven't tried the '12 yet).. I didn't like it at all :\ the wheelbase is really track oriented and it's not much better at that. The sad part is that I am a big toyota fan, too.

:D the GT4 varient is much easier to drift, but, alas, both have the "Jeremy Clarkson in Ariel Atom" front facia LOL

I'd have to say the RGT has terrible gearing for drifting. Changing from 2nd to 3rd takes way too much time even with upgrade clutch/transmission.

I have the same problem with my Hyundai HCD6, but i have it geared to where 3rd is almost lilke 1st so problem solved there xD

I've just started to drift the nismo R33 LM and it seems to have the same problem, but i hope with power that'll change

I uses a FD Spirit as my main car because its what i learned with but i am anything but fast with it. I sacrifice speed for angle. I hate vipers.
