Most fun car for first A-Spec Endurance race?

About to do this, but want to make sure I do it in a car that isn't going to make it really boring. Obviously needs to be fairly quick so it doesn't take as long. Don't want to use the FGT as it would be too tiring to drive at that speed for hours. At the moment I'm thinking maybe a Nissan GTR or maybe an NSX. Any suggestions? thanks

Take the very first car that you bought!
 
Depends on what races you're going to run. For me I would only use the Minolta or FGT because they are the fastest and best handling cars (OUTSIDE OF THE X1), which I don't have.
 
If you used an FGT then it would only take an hour and a bit.

For a competitive race, you should pick a slower car such as a VW Golf for example.
 
Ya if you want competition, then choose a car that has no more than 50 hp above the field. But it will take you a while to finish, so if you're looking for shortest time to do a endurance race, then you've got to think FGT or something insanely fast like that.
 
yeah I think I'll just use the FGT, will be way quicker and will give me time to get better at driving it as well.. thanks
 
Use any of the cars in the 'likely opponents list.' You'll smoke them badly so you can make some big mistakes and still win, unless you pick one that's obviously out of whack, way down on power yet high on weight.

Or you could just pick any car that you like to drive that is near their power and weight, add 200kg of ballast and take away 25hp and drop a tire class from what they run(or some combination of the 3 if you like). Then you might have a race, but of course you might lose, and the threat of losing takes ALL the fun out, or so I'm told.
 
Go through the UCD and buy anything Japanese between ~40-70k. Subarus and Mitsubishis for example. I found a gem of a '99 Imprezza which I love and it's my favourite car in game at the moment. And fully upgraded it can outrun the GT500 cars. So my advice is give lots of cars a go and see what you like. And trust me, you know when you like a car :)

Also because you will be driving it for 4hours or more; your enjoyment of a car is essential. Spending that long in a car you cannot stand will just drive you insane. (Sorry for the pun).
 
Caterham Fireblade or RUF Yellowbird are fun, and the Grand Valley race is about the perfect length for the 'bird.

The worst gift car ever for winning a tournament. I can't remember what upper class championship I was racing when I won it, but I thew my controller across the room when I saw the Fireblade. Luckily I have 5 controllers to begin with :)
 
RM Elise all hud off except to occasionally check tires and gas. Very fun (although not much competition).

I have to have the hud off otherwise I get massive frame burn. My tv is a few years old and wearing out.
