I found it funny that something topped Cadillac.

It's simple: "Benz" is a one-syllable word so it fits in anywhere, and since Mercedes are status-symbol cars only (AMG's excepted), it makes sense that rappers would brag about them a lot. I wonder what percentage of rap songs mention all three: cars, cognac, and guns (and ho's of course, but that's a given)...
