Most Satisfying Victory?

I was wondering what everyone's most satisfying victory was in the game? Seeing 100% completion? Your first gold license? All gold licenses? All gold club? Pro Vitz? Passing S-2? Passing S-8? Taking an f/094s to the Sunday Cup? Post it here!

I just completed my own personal best, winning the Rome II Avant Garde race with a Zonda C12S at 667hp running medium racing tires and no "NA Tune" mods! Pitted after five and picked the lead back up on lap 10 just before rounding the Colosseum for one of the most tense races I've ever had.

Going with mediums saved me more than 2 seconds a lap and the pit stop only cost me about 18 seconds, so it worked out great! I ran the first race on slicks and had some control issues that resulted in disparate lap times, but switching to mediums and reducing the LSD effect to 20/15 kept me well in control in the second race.

BTW, the settings I'm using for the Zonda C12S seem to wholly correct the understeer, but have turned it into quite the drifter. Reducing the LSD effect helped a lot, so maybe I'll work with that a little more. Anyway, here are some key settings...

Ride Height left as is
Springs around the 15kg/m mark
Shocks at 8/8/8/9
Stabilizer bars at 4/4
Brakes at 12/12
LSD at 10, 20/15
ASM off
TCS at 1

Purchased: all mods EXCEPT for "NA Tune" mods, slick racing tires, medium racing tires

Pro Vitz...definitely.
defeating the pure, unadulterate evil that is the Yaris AI is nothing short of a glorious miracle - and an infinitely satisfying victory.

There's 2 that spring to mind, both license tests that had me struggling for awhile.... on top would come Monte Carlo license test, which I found to be the hardest, next would be one of the lesser licenses, I forget which one, but one that involved driving a yellow Corvette around a short, tight circular track. :D

I hated that one too! I thought S8 was relatively easy actually, since I just used 3rd gear the whole time!

My most satisfying victory was at the Rome 2hr Enduro, where I took a stock :aston: Vanquish with T2s, and had a race-long duel with a Griffith, winning eventually by 10s.

I had another race at Rome in the Formula GT Championship, where I was on a pit strategy that put me behind the AI for most of the race. However, coming off the long straight, into the first right-hander, I was so much later on the brakes than the AI that I was just breezing by them. That was superb!

found the vitz race too easy really....

had a good one recently when doing the deep forest stage of the pro boxer most of the field was a breeze to beat with my near stock rgt (i had N/A stage 2 only) except for the other rgt. we kept swapping places for the first 6 laps then i stayed infront till on lap 9 he took me on the last corner... I thought i was a gonner but he pitted. all my tires exept one were red so for some strange reason I thought I'd keep on going the whole 10 without pitting. slidding everywhere I just one it by about a second or two! :)

Hmmm, most satisfying victory.... thats difficult. I'd say either Pro Vitz series, Formula One Championship or the Complex String TT. The Complex String TT was the hardest thing i'd ever done. of course, the Laguna Seca TT(it took me months to pass that one) was worse but the Complex String TT was more gratifying. :)

Some of the most satisfying victories I've had since playing this game back in Feb '02...

From my first (now overwritten) gamesave...
FINALLY getting 1st @ Arcade Mode/Time Trial/Complex String - This was the whole reason I got into this game, as I wasn't too interested in it until my friend showed me this track. I think it was something like 2 months (April or so) before I finally got it... and now look what I've gotten myself into. LOL :)

Sweeping (no re-load mid-series quitting BS) the Professional/GT All-Stars against the R390, GT-ONE, and 787B... With the ESCUDO. I think 8 of the 10 races are easily winnable with this car, but Mid-Field II and Laguna Seca took me A LOT of attempts.

From my second gamesave (1st attempt at "perfect")...
Getting all golds for all licenses. This took me about 3 weeks real-time, but I'm certainly glad I did it. Not only did it vastly improve my playing/driving skills, I also feel it justifies a lot regarding my driving tactics (... my name) and field mis-matches. My 2nd run at all license golds took 6 days. R8 and S2 were the biggest thorns in my side...

From my current gamesave (2nd attempt at "perfect)...
I also used the Zonda C12S for the Pro/Avant Garde, and Rome Circuit II is one tough mother! I bought a Stage 1 Tune-up, a Sports Transmission, and Sports Tires (no oil change), and beat out the Zonda Race Cars by a few seconds. This one took me 3 attempts.

Running a 106 hp MIRA TR-XX AVANZATO R(J) in the Beginner/FF Challenge was quite a hairball experience (Turbo 1, Racing Intercooler, Oil Change). The Lupo Cup Car is one tough competitor! Against it, my margins of victory were less than one second for the races @ Deep Forest and Rome Circuit.

The Amateur/Tourist Trophy was a tough one for me. I used a 289 hp, 1297 kg TT (spent 34750 on the one I won from the Amateur/American Championship), but put in a lot of research and practice runs to finally sweep the series.

The Pro/Elise Trophy in a 264 hp Elise required a lot too. For 3 of the 5 races, there was pressure from start to finish (there were 3 opposing Motor Sport Elises).

Finally getting the F090/S from the Pro/Formula GT was both maddening and satisfying. I had to race the 78 laps @ Cote d'Azur 6 times (without saving) before it finally gave me the car I wanted... The same can be said for my Clio Sport Race Car, for which I raced the Endurance/Super Speedway 150 **10** times (again, without saving) before I finally got it... The same can be said for my #5 purple/white F688/S from the Roadster Endurance (7 attempts)... And my R390 Road Car from the Grand Valley 300 (7 attempts)... and my F687/S from Seattle Endurance (7 attempts in the Viper GTSR Concept)... and my GT-ONE Race Car from Pro/Poly Digital Cup (7 attempts at the final race in the Viper again)...

But to this point the most satisfying victory has been getting the TVR Speed 12 from the Professional/Tuscan Challenge. I bought a Speed 6, put on some Sports Tires, gave it an Oil Change, and swept this series. But the last race required a lot of drafting, and I didn't always win... It took me *** 13 *** attempts to finally get the Chameleon Blue Speed 12. It was actually the 3rd time I got it after racing the final track, but the first 2 times I got it, I ended with a silver!!! Maddening... and, in the end, all the more satisfying...

I'm sure there are more nail biters on the way...

Have a great drive everyone!

My triple win at 50%
I managed to complete a series, complete a league, and complete 50% at the same time.
It was very cool to watch prize cars keep coming.
 Three at once. Awsome!

Welll...It's not final yet, but it's getting there. I'm running a stock lancer Evo VI GSR in the PD cup. So far, I've managed to win the first three races. We'll see how the final 7 go. I'm running this straight through, as I'm not concerened with which car I win, and I only have the Formula one championship after that. 100% soon...

my most satisfying victory had to have been the two best races I've probably EVER had in my entire life...here goes---------------

the first one was where I was in the professional league, racing the PROs on the Test Course with my 787B,and I didn't think that pitting wouldn't be worth my time, cause all I'm doin' is goin' around in circles for like 15 laps..but come to find out..deeper into the race, when cutting them corners..I was losing speed gradually, and the GT-40 Race Car was catching up to me,second by second...just when I thought I had such a great lead too!it was lap 14 and he was only 2.578 seconds behind me and catching up fast...once passing the start/finish line to make it the Final Lap,he was only about 1 second behind me on the long straightaway..then when we hit that first corner,he had caught up to me!it was unbelievable!I couldn't believe my eyes...he had just caught up to me after so long...and now,it was just me and him,head-to-head!we had then exited the corner following into the tunnel at about the same speed, side by side, final lap, tension building up so high, you would feel as if your heart was about to explode!we were in the tunnel, goin' about the same speed, when suddenly...I got an increase in Horsepower in an instant!!I went from 158 to 172 MPH in a matter of seconds!I was so confused on what happened...on HOW I got that extra boost to help me gain my lead again, but soon to my attention...right when I exited the tunnel..my speed had dropped back down to about 160 MPH and he was once again,gaining..and fast!we hit that last corner at about the same speed, only I was JUST a lil bit faster than he was..and right when we exited, the only thing I could do was rely on the performance of my car to lead me to victory..and yet,it did!I had won the race by .452 seconds, making me the victor..and after a race like that,I even had to wait a while for the next race, just so I could catch my breath ^_^!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

my second scenerio was at Rome Circuit II and it was in the same championship as when I raced on the Test Course..only this time,my opponent was the DENSO...the race started off pretty smooth, until lap 7 for me...that's when I had to pit in,since I couldn't keep 1st Place...and since everybody had pitted in on lap 5..their tyres weren't gonna wear out as quick..so I dropped down to 3rd place when exiting the pit and I hurried as fast as I possibly could, but also tried to reduce tyre wear as much as possible...and so,with me gaining BARELY on them by each lap,I was catching up to the car which had taken my place...the DENSO...(oh yeah,by the way..when I exited the pit,the DENSO had a 38 second lead ^_^!)by lap 9,I was only about 13 seconds behind the DENSO and I was gaining pretty fast,so once we passed the start/finish line,we were then side by side, struggling for the gold!it was so intense...my blood was boiling..the strive for victory was throbbing in my heart..it was about to bust from excitement of me and my opponent racing for the same exact thing...my skill against his..that's all it was...and on the Final Lap,we were continuing to hold up good against each other, when suddenly..my speed entering a corner was a lil bit faster than his,and I braked RIGHT and I mean,RIGHT before our lines crossed, then he slid a lil too far to the right, barely tapping the wall, giving me the lead!we had reached the corner right before the final stretch and he barely squeezed into the outside line and I was still on the inside,so we continued to stay side by side, then on the LAST stretch...to the finish...we both floored it and I won by .073 seconds!!now as it may sound...some of you are probably thinkin',"nah,he wasn't all hyped up over that,no way",but I swear to every one of you that's reading this...that after that race,my hands felt so tired of holding the controller that I just dropped it and it felt like I kept trying to swallow something in my throat that wasn't even there..and my heart continued to pound harder and harder as I thought about that race..my whole body felt weak...as if I was in a fatal state of fatigue..but I had only been sitting in my seat racing..on Gran Turismo 3...have you ever had this feeling?it's wonderful...maybe one day you will experience what I did..then you'll understand the joy of racing against a great opponent, that is all.

P.S. those of you that read this WHOLE post of my favorite races ever,I congradulate you,and hope that someday..you'll get that feeling as well..

Yeah somebody mentioned the S-2 test. If I remember correctly that's the GT40 in Seattle, and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done in the game, but it isn't my most satisfying victory. The Roadster Endurance Race had me sweating for a while, thinking I was wasting my time, being a half lap down about halfway through the race. But I got my rythym down and started pitting less often and getting better times, and pretty soon I was catching up and eagerly chatting with my co-pilot/consultant about what pit schedule would get me the win, where to stretch it out, etc. 💡 Ended up passing the front-runner as he pit going into the 40th and last lap, holding the lead on my almost burnt out tires. Damn that was a fine feeling after such a long frustrating race. And it was the last endurance race so it won me the F094/H.

oh yeah i forgot the time i won the GT-one Road Car in the Amateur GT Championship with the Lotus Esprit 350 that I bought with the money from the Beginner Championship that I won with the Evo VII. I love that progression. It was like, 1-2-3 and suddenly I'm in the Endurance circuit.

When I beat 3 of my mates at I.link battle.

SSR5 + R32 Skyline (me) + RX-7 + Supra + NSX = Much fun.

When you guys say S2 is hard, do you mean to get gold?

I am a noob, but I found S2 a cinch. With the right brake and throttle modulation, the GT40 handles beautifully, with little oversteer but there is still some understeer.

It took me about 30 mins to get the S2..

2 (GT-40: seattle II) i promised myself if i didnt beat it in 4 hours i would kill myself
i got it in 3 :)
& i always make those promises and i always come threw
although my thumbs hurt for a week cuz i did it for 3 hours non-stop

In the Pro- All Japanese series I was able to win it twice in my heavily modified Ruf R-GT. It take alot of tuning, but I did it.
