I was driving my 599 earlier and accidentally wrecked an aggressive AI GTR.. i got the story in another thread i just need to copy it.. but it got me thinking Whats the funniest/most spectacular wreck youve seen or been in?

Edit story: i was in a race with my 599 (testing sport soft tires... i take back what i said the 599s handling with these tires woke right up)... there was the usual modded spec V GTR hotshotting thru the pack.. and i was stuck behind a 458.. the GTR gets to me in the last chicane on the nurburgring GP track and dives on my inside wayyyyyy tooo hot... then the 599s tail rotated just the way i wanted it... to carry more speed into the corner... and accidentally gave the GT-R a minor love tap midcorner... he was already a bit out of control but the 599s hit screwed him.. he immediately shot off into the grass... came back onto the track... spun... then i saw later in the replay the BTR that was lagging behind the pack hit him... wrecking that car.. it was pretty funny to watch.. i was like "italy 1, japan 0" hahahaha

Sounds pretty funny to me. I can imagine exactly what it must have looked like.

I don't really have a good story but thanks for sharing yours!
 
Best pileup I've seen in GT5 so far is on the Autumn Ring Kart championship.....GT5 isn't too pileup friendly.

forgot to save the replay... the RUF hit the Nissan and just went rocketing towards the wall bounced off then came back on the road with its tail out.. he saved it though unlike the Nissan.. the GTRs front corner was totally demolished.. like about as bad as when youd glitch it..
 
havent been in enough races to notice this lol.. my R10 was gone before the other cars knew what hit them in the one serious race i did online (another guy had a 908 so i brought that out to counter it)
 
I was racing some online NASCAR, about a 15 lap race with 11 drivers. On the 2nd to last lap, one driver bumps another, it appears on accident, into the wall. The one flying into the wall then tries to save, then hits the wall going sideways, and all the other drivers behind him (about 7) get hit and all go into the grass. Me included. Not funny by any means, but just wanted to post my experience..

i hate when you have the one guy who loses it in the Daytona banking, saves it in the grass... but then he finds he has no directional control and decides to keep his foot in the gas anyway.. so he reappears back on the track with no warning and totally closes the door on you..
i had this happen with an AI viper in an arcade race, something happened i dont know a glitch of some sort and he just lost contro before turn 1, i figured ok, hes gone, no problem, then all of a sudden... i see this flash of white come up from the grass in turn 2 and its the Viper, he came flying up and hit the wall dead smack head on.. right in front of the GT1 turbo ahead of me, who T-boned him full tilt (we were both running the high line), and then i rear ended the GT1... because i was right on its tail setting up for a pass, and lets face it 599s do not respond very well to sudden directional changes.. and took them both out, the spinning Viper then collected the Ford GT that was behind all of us.. turns out when i watched the replay he saved it in the grass out of sight by turn 1, but of course cuz the moron was a computer he didnt have the common sense to hit the brakes and or turn the car to try and get it back on track.. so he just kept going straight, then when he finally did turn, he put himself on a 90 degree perpindicular collision course with the wall in front of us, and subsequently closed the door on the GT1

I was in a Nascar Room with all Japanese drivers. 10 laps to go at Daytona.

Super clean race, I mean all 16 of us were going around 2 and 3 wide in a big pack togehter. I was the only Brit there with the only #18 car.

I'm 3rd with 2 to go just behind the #48 and go beneath him to try and go alongside with the leader. Tires start screeeeching as I realise I've got no rubber and hit the grass, I saved it entering turn 3. Everybody behind me checks up. i.e. brakes to avoid me potentially crashing. I was about 10th at the back of the lead pack into the final lap.

Entering the final corner to the win, a guy gives me a light bump to get into the lead at the front stretch presumably to try and give me the win and I lose it back. Crank the steering left but car snaps around and I wipe out everyone.

I felt so bad for these guys after they drove such a clean race.

Special Stage Route 7 is also pretty nasty by the first hairpin, i hit my brakes in my Silvia RM (which was brand new at the time) to take the corner and was immediately slammed in the back by everybody behind me, causing a massive 10 car wreck and totally obliterating the back of the Nissan
 
On a group race night, two times. Once on eiger short track, Evo's v. Impreza's, although only one Evo showed up, first corner, as i was going into it, *BAM* hdmi input fuzzed out on the tv (happens rarely on my sammy, i have to turn it off and then back on again). I turn on the tv again to hear a bunch of swearing and see everyone piled up in the corner. I battled to dead last. :|

The second one was more recent. German invasion theme ala top gear challenge (limited budget, any german car, 3 track series). I had just missed second place in the snowy alps of france by a half second on the last lap of a rough race (proved to be decisive as I had gotten 2nd in the first race and again in the 3rd (abet i was granted 2nd place as my network dropped, but was 20+ seconds ahead of 3rd and 30+ seconds behind first (yes, racing hard are VASTLY superior to sport soft in the dry)). So the third race would determine who would win the series. Off the line my beautiful yellow banana RS4 makes steady headway against all comers. Going into the first turn at Cote however I recall just how sharp that first turn is and ease off considerably before entering the turn. The entire field shoots past me, and straight into the opposite wall. I take the corner close and fly past everyone but the leader (who also made it clean and had the benefit of racing hards on top of a forward position on the grid). From there I was challenged lightly going through the tunnel but my opponent could not pass the behemoth that is the ass end of the RS4 and could not take the tunnel bend at full speed like i could. After that it was smooth sailing as the leader and I pulled away from the rest of the field and he from I.

Came out with a second overall in the series, my first top 3 showing!
 
This was in B-spec just after pulling out of the last chicane type corner before the straight on suzuka, all cars were very close.

Bob was in third place very close behind the other two. There was a miura and another car just about next to the miura through the chicane, the miura forced on the grass one of its back tires to try and leave room which turned into a massive 180 spin from it.
The car next to it swerved and missed only just from getting wiped off as well. My bob had no time to do anything but attempt to swerve but couldn't make up his mind which way, and came into a head on with the front corner of the still spinning miura.
Bobs car was spun as well, two or three cars slammed into the side and piled into him and the miura, at that time I switched to reverse view to see the rest of the carnage where there was another 2 or 3 cars speeding off the road to dodge the pileup and smashing straight into the barrier on the right:crazy:

Bob now in second place a long way behind on the last lap pulled enough time back to pressure the leader and became lucky on that very same corner, the pole position power oversteering and bob just dodging (a little nick on the side) the spun vehicle on the middle of the road and going on to win.

Seems epic! i can only imagine the accordian effect of all those cars crunching themselves into the wall.. mustve been hysterical! Now that i think of it i remember one more Daytona wreck that was remarkable because i had nothing to do with it.. nor was my car even remotely near the pack of cars in which this one wrecked, nor was it a case of AI overshooting the corner as they so famously do.. admittedly it was GT5 Prologue, so it wasnt as spectacular as it could have been, and it was a single car wreck, but..

It was the daytona event in the advanced level (at least i think.. i dont quite remember what it was exactly called, but it was the 5 lapper with the F430 and GT-R that led off in their own little world) anyways.. i was grinding cash with the tuned corvette coming around on the two mid packs of cars (you know the ones with the STI and the XK and M3 and the like), except in this particular race, the 10th-13th place cars had caught up with the 6th-9th place pack, the result being a huge melee of heated battle for 6th place, with disasterous consequences for the gray 07 STI hatch in the middle of it, now all i saw from the corvette behind this was a cloud of smoke and dust as a car clearly went off, but a further look at the replay revealed he was actually taken out by his AI brethren.. the impreza involved got in a bad position between an Evo X and an NSX and the evo clipped him, unsettling the subie, which started to bounce back and forth between the sides of the two cars next to him, unfortunately he caught the slip stream of the R34 in front of him and the impreza sped up while continuing this side to side bouncing, doubly unfortunate, the NSX which the impreza had nearly cleared, adjusted its line, as the impreza was pogoing back its way, resulting in the NSX's front bumper and the Imprezas back bumper making rough contact, basically PIT manuvering the Impreza into a good spin and a crash into the tire barrier, to add insult to injury, when the impreza pulled back on track, the 16th place M3 creamed him in turn. It was prettttyyyy funny. If this had been the real GT5 this guy wouldve flipped and the car destroyed.. phooey, id love to see a wreck like this again here!
 
Theres usually some pretty spectacular spins/crashes on the Nurburgring GP circuit in the F1 championship races (Polyphony F1 cars).
On the second last corner, the tight left right chicane, they always accelerate too early and understeer off into the grass then spin back onto the track, sometimes taking out each other. When i was doing that race in A-Spec someone spun out there every single lap without fail. :D
Was an easy race because of this.
