Which would you think is better overall

I think Underground 2 because it is driving around looking for races and has no cops.

In Most Wanted your main goal is too be the first of the blacklist, and its boring becuase the way you get to the top is to do the same thing over and over again. Its gets very annoying. But it has better graphics

I think that Most Wanted has the advantage. It has cops, which makes a chalenge. It also has Lambo and Mercedes supercars that Undergroung 2 doesnt. I have both, and I play Most Wanted way more

I don't have either - but I am thinking about getting Most Wanted. It looks fun, but I don't know...

I don't have Underground 2 either - I didnt think the original Underground was that great.

Most Wanted PWNZ! I want it soo bad... as well as I want a 2nd or 3rd gen videogame system, preferably the xBox 360, but not for PC unless I get a new PC that can handle it, which I probably wont anytime soon.:(

@rollazn: UG1 was excellent IMO, man i passed that game 3 times, using a different car everytime

all you do in undergroung2 is the same races and you can still go looking for races on most wanted

most wanted hands down as it brings back the cops which make it slightly harder and the cops where a big part of the original games and this makes the game more like real street racing

You could've used the edit button...

And Most Wanted is the best. Best graphics (especially on the X360), it has the cops, and of course, the exotics.

It's a tough choice. I like the car customization in NFSU2; you can take it as an art form if you want. I was disappointed with the after-market choices in MW. One major factor for me is also the world you race in. I felt MW was designed better than in NFSU2. The carrer mode in MW was more defined as well; in NFSM2, you just go race to race with no real point to it.
I think Most Wanted has the edge over Nead for Speed Underground 2.

Well, to me, Most Wanted is superior in every way. In Underground 2, the big city is poorly designed, and uninteresting. Unfortunately, there is no Jump to Location option, so to go where you want to go, you must endure anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes to go where you want to go.

In Most wanted, you can just jump to shops and events, plus the city is more interactive and in my opinion, more interesting. Also, adding cops adds to the excitement factor. I love having supercars in the game. I'd take a Lamborghini Murcielago over a tricked-out Mazda Miata anyday.

Hot Pursuit 2 and Underground 1 were my favorite NFS games, and the best elements from both were brought together to create the ultimate racing game.

If you want a tuner game, get this. Also, it is superior to MC3: SE in every way.

No it isn't. MC3 has much better racing, more cities, a wider range of vehicles and it'll last longer. Most Wanted is good, but it's locked at 30 fps (while MC is at 60) which makes for mind numbingly inprecise racing, and MW's tuning has been dumbed down since Underground 2, which roughly puts it on the same level as MC3: DER in terms of customisation and tuning.

The only plus point in Most Wanted is the cops, but the AI is so crap they might aswell not put it in.

Actually, MC3 is at 30 FPS also, and won't last as long. The Career Mode in DUB Edition is shorter than NFS MW's, unless you want to do all those crew events, which are quite pointless unless you must get 100%, and make the game even less realistic.

Each burrough in MW is about the size of MC3's cities, and MC3;s cites are actually a bit smaller than MC2's.

How is the racing better? Most Wanted's gameplay is better, and it doesn't lie about being "the fastest racer ever".

I like Underground 2 better. It's more in-depth and you can mix-and-match your bodykits. Plus most street races take place during the night, not the day.

In MW its kind of annoying because you have to worry about the cops all the time and plus it gets repeating after a while - getting bounties and stuff. I do agree that they have cool cars, although I doubt whether if anybody will put outrageous bodykits, wings and wheels on a car like Ford GT and Carerra GT. In those terms Underground 2 is much better because it actually reflects the cars that are used in street racing.

I own Underground 2 and Midnight Club 3 both as well.

Underground 2 beats Most Wanted in its sleep. Yea, Most Wanted has the cops and slightly better graphics, but when was the last time you have been on the highway and a lamborghini pulls up with BBS rims wanting to race? Lets not loose the love for true street racing like in NFSU2. I like to stick with the street stuff.I totally agree with GT4_rule. My opinion.

UG2 would be my favorite if you didn't have to drive to each event. It is just so tedious, dull and unnecessary. I will admit that MC3 is superior to MW in some ways. Most Wanted really goes downhill after you crack the top 10 or so.

Also, I haven't played a game that freezes up this much.

Those flaws aside, Most Wanted still beats the hell out of UG2 in my opinion.

That's a joke right? The AI on Heat levels 4 and 5 know what there doing. Maybe I just suck, but I am sure the higher level AI is programed to be difficult.

Well, I look at it this way; MW is trying to be a different genre of racing. The underground racers are trying to do just that, stay underground. The type of racing MW is about very public and dangerous racing. So to compare the sourse material of both games isn't fair. MW is not NFSU2. If you want "true street racing", then you shouldn't pick up MW.

Most Wanted all the way. There's nothing in U2 better than MW, cars, music and gameplay (except for some of the customization, which really doesn't matter to me)

Most Wanted all the way, because of the cops. Heat levels 1-3 is not that tough for me, but 4 and 5 these cops know what they are doing. It's not easy trying to outrun a C6 Corvette cop car on Heat level 5, especially when they have nitrous boost.

I say most wanted. It has the cops, graphics, heat levels, and supercars!

Only thing I miss is the customization from the Underground series...
