Motion Simulators are Expensive!
I thought I would throw together a full list of motion simulator products as no-one has seemed to have ever done this? The aim is get a full and complete list together as a single source. Please add/correct anything I have missed. It would good to hear owner options too.
Points to note…
1) They are listed in rough price only
2) Prices are in different currencies.
3) Take note of location. They tend to be heavy to ship.
4) I have tried to include all the “Home” options, inc the silly money devices.
Major things to consider when buying…
A) Amount of DOF (Degree of Freedom) = How many moving points. (E.g. 3 DOF) B) Quality and reliability of the motors / actuators (quality costs) C) The Lag of the moving parts (time delay after movement happens on screen) D) Software used for the system (and which games it is compatible with) E) Support of the manufacturer
