Keep hearing it talked about online. How many miles does it take and does the HP increase? Someone said that damage and or tire wear had to be turned on in A-Spec or online racing to make the millage count.

Any truth to this?

Yes it's real, but only for new cars from the NCD. Cars from the OCD are already broke in as are most low mileage cars in the UCD. However, some cars have high miles and need to be restored to low miles (this can be done via a glitch if you used most of your restore cards) and then they need to be broke in again.

It takes 186 miles, some cars may require up to 40 or more additional miles to be fully broke in. Tire wear does have to be on for online.

A-spec and B-spec mode add mileage to the cars. Online play requires tire wear to be on for the "break in" to happen. You only need to break in premium cars from the new car dealership and any car recived via prize ticket. Yes breaking in the cars does exist and it does add HP. Go buy the car, change the oil, tune it, run it for 200 miles or so, change the oil again. This process will give you max Hp on your cars.
When it comes to used cars from the UCD they will need to have the engine restoration performed. If the car has less than 5,000 miles on it you only need to change the oil. Any car with well over 10,000 miles will never reach peak HP, even with engine restore.

If you restore the engine you can break it in agagin?? I'll have to give it a shot.

I ninja'd you.

Great info! Especially about buying anything from UCD with over 10k. Well... if you restore engine and break in you should reach max HP again in theory right?

Tuning for DRAG is waaaay harder than tuning for drift or race! Damn... this game keeps getting more addicting! I dont even play MW3 anymore and the days I do, I cant stand more than two maps and I go back to GT, SMH!

No, cars over 10k will never again hit the max. hp number. Buying a new car or using a restore ticket is the only solution.

Only if you use/glitch the card that PD gifted us. If you "rebuild" and engine than you won't have to break in again.

Got it, thanks! Wasted alot of those restore tickets on drift car setups! FAIL... Just got into DRAG this week.

Bringing disgrace to my first name buddy. Only people who can't tune them hate them. Much more of a challenge and much more fun than a room of 12 containing 8 nissans 3 vipers and maybe 1 different car

I like FF's 👍

Most of the FF cars ive tuned are all quick shifts. At the right place you can get a time that you couldn't even think it was possible.

What is this glitch, I might have to try it because I have a dodge SRT4 which I would like to tune for drag racing, but it's miles are sky high

Basically the dupe trick, you simply use the restore ticket before you send the car.

I know i am in the Drag Section, but i may ask:

Sorry, this conversation os completly "alien" for me. I readed everything but i still haven´t any clue of what you guys are talking about. I mostly only post in the drifting forums, and i never heard nothing related.

1. What is motor break in?
2. What is its benefits?
3. How do i do that?
4. Does it can helps to increase the powerband of any low powered drifting car?

Sorry, i really don´t understand what you drag racers are talking about. In tunning cars on GT5, drag racers are far beyond of us drifters.

You should probably search next time. It's all over the boards.

1. You put 200 miles on your engine after restoring or brand new.
2. It can gain you up to 40 extra hp depending on the car.
3. Drive it.
4. A little but not really noticable.
