I hinted in the Site Feedback forum about some companies you've never heard of or don't know too much about. I always aim to find some educational value alongside entertainment value. So for the fruits of my labor, I give you this thread. If ever there is a motorcycle company you don't know about, a motorcycle you don't know about, or either of the two that you've never heard of, chat about it here so we can hopefully try to shed some light on them for you.
I'm going to begin this with a company I'm not familiar with.
Hyosung Motors is the first Korean motorcycle maker that I'm aware of ( http://www.hyosungmotorsusa.com ). They've been around for a few years in America while about 30 years in its native Korea Republic. I loved the GV650/Avitar, a classy cruiser (see for yourself: http://www.hyosungmotorsusa.com/product/introduction.asp?Cat=Cruise&model=GV650 ). I know UnoMOTO had his say on the Hyosung GT650R ( http://www.hyosungmotorsusa.com/product/introduction.asp?Cat=RoadSports&model=GT650R ). Hyosung is still very foreign to me.
Here are three other companies I don't know too much about:
* Moto Guzzi
* Benelli
* Vespa
