Great job with thumbnails & great pics. I'm in the process of starting my gallery. Are you entered in any GT-planet Photo competitions? If not you should give it a try! It's lots of fun but takes patience.

Thanks for the comment redhawk, nice gallery you've got as well.
Fireblast, I think they're bright enough, if that's what you're saying. It is probably you have a dark screen.

Now for a more racing approach to things...
Enjoy!

Race event, Tsukuba Circuit

Race event, Motegi Super Speedway

Ah yes, the thrill of racing. How easily it can be lost what with PM and Photo Competitions. Were these races in the 'extreme' events? The shots are very good, with an element of excitement. Personally I would increase 'depth of field' slightly to have the whole car sharp - I mean for the up-shots like the Minolta car. Try F16 or F22. Also I find that hitting the square (Manual Focus ) button midway between the driver and the front will render sharpness from front to end.
:)

Thanks for the suggestions - though I have a pretty bad TV quality and it's hard to discern how blurry the car really is until I actually port the shots to my PC.
I notice most people don't tend to use a lot of blur in their galleries and prefer clear shots - though at times this is a better option I think blur not only adds a sense of motion and position, it gives the image a nicer touch and helps eliminate various sharp edges and poorly rendered backgrounds, if not overused of course. Also, on certain camera angles, it's not possible to bring the focus low enough as to actually focus on the car (particularly in the close-up shots of the nissan or minolta cars) so I have to make do with just altering the aperture, but that also eliminates the blur effect.

The events itself were just random race meetings on Tsukuba and Motegi, they're not part of any greater event per se.

P.S. I notice some people mention the "dive replay" - In my game I've only been able to get the "synchronised replay" feature...is this the same?

Thanks

The second Plymouth shot is my favourite of the bunch, very nice angle and background.

Keep up the good work :D

Took a few more shots today, and I've also made a special photoshop image for this update, El Capitan By Night.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage '99, El Capitan

Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II 2004, Trial Mountain

Honda S800 RSC Race Car 1968, Motorland

Photoshop special

I like that Car-less 'Photoshop Special', I also like the Drifting 3000GT (Great drifting car).

That last shot is very unique, you should enter it in the artistic competition. It reminds me of a spooky forest. :p

Thanks, I like it myself even though my first intention wasn't actually to create
an El Capitan during the night, I was just trying to achieve sort of a zoom-in speed effect, then I started messing with the lighting and saw that it kind of gives the effect of car headlights, so I thought hey why not make a shot from the front end of a car with visible headlights 💡
