If it wasn't for Wayne Gardener getting into a Supercar, you wouldn't be able to complete this list.
I've not looked it up but I'm sure you could via Valentino Rossi, though it would probably have taken longer.

Edit: here you go: John Cleland - James Thompson - Augusto Farfus - Valentino Rossi - Tohru Ukawa - Àlex Crivillé - Mick Doohan

When I brought bike riders into the list, Rossi was the first name I was going for until I found Gardener. There must be other cross-genre driver/riders.

Turns out Bathurst and Daytona are great places for random teammates to occur, making these lists much more possible.

Casey Stoner.
Raced in Supercars second division for a season after retiring from MotoGP.

John Surtees and Mike Hailwood spring to mind if you end up that far back.

Edit: and Michael Schumacher, but getting from low-level German bike racing to Moto GP etc. might take a while.

Is it me or is Osamu Kawashima (57) going to be the British Touring Car Championship's oldest newcomer since Mark Blundell in 2019 (52, nearly 53)?
