Evo VI TME in GVS

Well. (I own that car IRL) From an editors standpoint, I really disliked the song you chose, (overplayed) but no biggy. I got the feeling that you weren't taking your car to edge, meaning, you could drift with a greater angle, and at a greater speed. Also, I didn't see that much feinting..which I guess is a matter of style, but it's a good way to drift a car like the EVO 6.

Good things, you didn't have an issue holding the drift, and looked like you had good control over the car. My final verdict is that as far as first vids come, it was pretty good. But, there is room to improve.

Some advice, slowly increase your entrance speed, and brake later. At the same time, play around with bringing the car to really extreme angles. Good job.

give M1 the link to ur vid

ha thanks for the suggestion seito; i need it :) after all that was my first video post :D

thanks

Edit: M1? the motorer_1 guy? my pm's are not working... he'll find this thread some day when he comes online...but if u want to be my guest

Well I have to agree with Seito about the song (LP sucks IMO), but that's just personal taste. As far as the drifting was concerned, I am very happy to see someone drift an AWD like they are meant to be drifted (no countersteer). Your car control was quite good, and you seemed to take a pretty good line, with all your drifts.........

I think you need to study some RL drift techniques (feint, lift off, trail braking, etc....), so you can increase your knowledge, thusly increasing your potential. However, I think you are on the right track......

As far as those extreme angles go, IMHO, they look rediculous, and unrealistic, so I wouldn't worry about that too much, if I were you. Of course this is just my opinion..........

Keep up the good work, and keep us posted. I am very interested in seeing your progress.................

;)

SD, have u seen my new vid, because i wanted to know if u can give me anytips on FR drifting

Thanks for the heads up SD! :) yea i have to work on more feint for sure...with it, it gives more angle and style i guess

Edit: NK4E the way i drive 4WD cars is no counter-steer and almost full throttle but for FR cars i believe there's no such thing as no counter-steer :banghead: and FR cars are usually lower hp; low 300's i believe? they require more precision throttle and counter-steer control and are much more harder than 4WD; i would say FR car just need ALOT of practice

thx man, i believe that a drift is a drift , counter steer or not its still a drift

yea no prob, but to tell you the truth i'm only heads up for AWD; if u want FR techniques u shuld ask the more experienced ie. COUGH pergatory, bustwave, SD; COUGH etc. :p

lol, well read my post after SD posted

No, I don't think I've seen it. Hook me up with the link, in a PM, and I'll check it out. I'll let you know where I think you could improve...........

;)

that was a good video man
drifting 8.5/10 - really smooth but could have been better in a couple corners

music 2/10 I used to like that song but they are right, it's overplayed especially in drifting

good job man

haha thanks... yea i just chose that song right outta the moment,,, i have to improve more on the editting skills :D

It will take a while for me to download, so give me some time ;)

ahh ic...only if 56k could download at 56000 kb LOL but until that day comes...i can wait :banghead:

here comes a stupid question.

Did u use handbreak?

Okay, so I am late on the boat lol ....

That was a good video! I agree with silviadrifter: it is great to see someone drift an AWD car like it is meant to be drifted ;) On some turns, I think that you could have taken a better line by feint drifting earlier and then controlling the AWD drift with only the throttle. Also, I think you missed some opportunities to link some drifts together by just feint drifting from turn to turn, but that will come to you as you gain more experience :)

Here is a picture I made a while back about AWD drifting with no countersteer. You can use this for reference to try and perfect an AWD drift ;)

That is a great diagram Thio, and it demonstrates exactly how I drift AWD vehicles....... I will be releasing something very soon, which just might demonstrate that technique to quite some extent..............

I'm so excited I can hardly wait. I just have to figure out what song I'm using, and the editing will come easy.........
