Well, if you can still use good technique with other tires then fine. Go for it. Personally, I like sims best just cause I'm more used to them and they're more predictable for me then stickier tires.

But yeah, as long as you're having fun with good technique, tires don't matter. Except mixing! mixing front and rear tires is bad! 👎

yes mixing bad!! eww, eww, eww. wut are people thinking when they mix? well i tried mixing tires before, and it is just bad. the car feels unbalenced in a way. and when u start drifting, the car does things that wouldn't happen with just plain one set of tires.

But i know everyone is different. so yeah do wut ever u want. this is just a personal opinion

T8's are grippiest tires. if you're going to drift with those, you gotta have power behind it.

tire mixing isnt bad if you know what you're doing and tune to your liking

Mixing tires has always been and will always be an incorrect way to tune your car to drift. Period. Though I did mix when I first started drifting, I've realized that it really messes with how the cars are designed to work.

If you'd like a detailed explaination, SD's traction explaination

If you just drift for fun and you don't care technique or skill level then that's fine. However, if you want to learn good technique and be a well rounded drifter as I'm trying to become. Mixing tires is a huge crutch that will force you to learn bad technique. Kinda like using the e-brake too much.

Yeah, to use T8's you have to have at least 800hp to 1000hp...

You can indeed drift a car by mixing tires... However, ther just isn't any point... The same results can be had by properly tuning the vehicle and using good technique... By mixing tires you are disrupting the balance of the vehicle, and it causes you to make up for that in other areas (technique, tuning, etc...). It just makes more sense to use tuning rather than mixing tires. It ends up being a more balanced machine in the end...
