Moving Servers Thursday Afternoon

If everything goes as planned, I will be moving the website over to our new server tomorrow (Thursday, August 28) afternoon. The website itself will continue to be accessible and will stay online throughout the process. However, due to the real-time nature of the forums, they will be closed during the transition, which should last from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time. No data or information of any kind will be lost by moving servers, and I will try to make this process as transparent as possible for you, the user. Wish me luck, and hopefully I will have the forums back open as soon as possible. :)

No, like I said, no data will be lost.
 
He has to move the binary files and SQL databases which means the board won't be up at all until this is done, when it is back up, service will resume as normal, at least I think that's how vBulletin works.

thanks for notifyin us! I hate it when GTP just goes down, but I understand sometimes you cant help it :) I hope the new server is awesome!

As soon as GT4 gets released, the Rumor & Speculation thread will be renamed.
 
What ever you do Jordan, don't call on me for help. I don't know jack-squat about computers. I'll probably set the whole works on fire from my couch. Seriously.
