i'd like to move in alberta, i live in quebec now. but what's the advantage to live in alberta instead of quebec ? anyone know ? the hospitals, the jobs in the construction, buying a house ou a land is expensive ? what's the cost, taxes ? etc

Why do you have a desire to move to Alberta if you don't know anything about it?

I imagine it's cheaper because it's probably a much worse place to live.

Well I'll tell you what, they have cheaper housing, cheaper gas, less taxes than BC. More jobs too. All of my family (Apart from my mom, dad and I) live out in Alberta. It's a nice place.. they got plenty of Demo derbies too so I'm seriously considering living there.

They don't speak French.

No, seriously: you want to move there but you don't know what the advantages are? So why do you want to move at all?

Move to Denmark . Good job possibilities, free hospital, free education and etc. The only bad, is that the minimum tax procent is 35.

Escape first, think later. Works in the movies, especially with only 10 minutes of running time remaining.

...welcome back!

Alberta gets talked about like it's this magical land of opportunity. There's more to life than living in a camp at Ft. McMurray and driving a truck.

A friend of mine recently moved from Ottawa valley area to Edmonton, he seems happy with the move. Though he did mention housing was a little more expensive...but he's making more doing the same job.

The thread title sounds like something parents tell young kids when someone's died. I thought he was going to announce he was dying from something.

"Auntie Janet's... moved to Alberta sweetie."
