Anything will spin out with too much gas. You say it like only FR's do it and the occasional 4WD. Yes, it is hard to get the back out, I already explained why, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the center of gravity.

god ok in my first post about this ridiculousness i wasnt referring to power over and i wasnt saying stuff like only fr cars spin out.. look at my post.. I was answering the question Do mr cars spin out with too much gas? Yes. I wasnt talking about power over.

Now what you sound like your saying is that engine placement does not effect handling.. which is wrong.. Also having a lower center of gravity effects handling..Low center of gravity forces the car to adhear to the road.. having the engine above the drive wheels forces the car onto its wheels.. its the same thing.. but rather than say having the cars engine above the drive wheels i said the cars center of gravity.. read the post.. think about it..

Seito, you are right about a few things, but your way of explaining it, makes you sound like a 12 year old. Yes, the engine being over the rear drive wheels will increase the difficulty of getting the rear end out. In addition, the center of gravity also plays a big role in hindering the cars drift. MR layouts are made specifically to keep the car balanced and keep it on the tarmac. So they take a little more effort to drift well. However, I do enjoy drifting my Speedster, and Clio Sport, but it still does not compare to the beauty and control of FR drift cars IMHO.;)

Well to answer your question seito... I myself like drifting becuase it can prepare you for racing at the limit on less grippy tires (an imporatant thing when winning longer races with underpowered cars). I generally start off getting a feel for the car on sims so of course i exhibition drift them. Then i move up the slicks or super slicks depending on the cars feel, and get ready to car them at the limit. Not really drifting like we would normally. Really when i start doing this i care only about my sector times, and i try to smoke as little to possible. I still do when i think speed should be sacrificed for certain lines... But its still not grip...
