Detroit is a logical follow-up of Impressions' excellent airline industry sim Air Bucks. This time, the year is 1908, and you are the President of an upstart car company. You will build and design cutting-edge automobiles, take care of finances and promote your products with marketing campaigns. Vintage car lovers will really enjoy the game, as it includes many classic car designs, all of which you can modify to your heart's content. As time goes by, new technologies will become available, and the industry will evolve with faster and safer cars. Competition, of course, will become tougher as your competitors catch up to your technological advantages. You must then think globally -- open new factories overseas, and think of how to segment your market with different car models that do not cannibalize each other's sales.

My company is called TRANSIT and I utilize cutting edge technology to bring a safe and yet comfortable experience to the automobiles I produce in New York. There is some $450,000+ to the TRANSIT name, and about 425 employees currently working for me. I've been in business for about 7 years now, from 1908 to 1915.
The Transit Royale FS1 (1908-1915)
This is pretty much my money maker. It is considered the Bentley of its time and is exclusively for the American public. The Transit Royale FS1 is my first product which came into production in 1908. It now utilizes technology far beyond the competion's reach. Ever since it was in production, it has been considered the Bentley of its time. It has always been a step or two ahead of the competition. Right now it features a steel cockpit, V6II, power brakes, and electric starter - plus a lot more things. They sell for $1,650 a pop.
The Transit Demon SC1 (1912-1915)
This is a pretty popular roadster which met production in 1912. The Demon SC1 (or Sport Coupe 1) is the fastest and quickest roadster in production right now, which is why it recieved such popularity. The Demon SC1 uses the same V6II the Royale does, plus power brakes, and electric starter. To save weight, I had to sacrifice bumpers and the steel cockpit. It reaches 65mph and it hits 60mph in 20 seconds. This is my gateway to leading sports branch of the auto industry. The Demon SC1 sells for $1,400.
The Transit Hauler PT (1909-1910)
This was the very first pickup truck to ever be produced. It featured tons of convenient storage room. Though the options aren't vast like the Demon SC1 and Royale FS1, it's still a very nice vehicle to have - especially in 1909-1910. Though it recieved Editor's Choice, and tons of positive pubilicity, there was just never a market for it. All production has seized. The Hauler sells for just $700. There is about 200 of them left.
