No. It has been screwed up - although functional - for those 2 days.

And yes, 2 hours ago they closed it for maintenance.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who had problems. ;)

There was definately a problem with MSN. It was between 10:00AM and 11:00AM GMT, mainly. There have also been other problems in the past week or so, and the MSN guys have posted that they have had troubles lately. MSN 7 is out in BETA form, and it won't be long for the real version to be released.

Let's talk about how crappy Microsoft is. I've had it with them. I already gave up my hotmail account and have vowed never to use it again, and now my MSN is giving me problems. It has done this before, and I get the message that the ".Net Passport" thing is down, try again later, blah blah blah. they should really have a pop-up message that says,

"Hi, we're Microsoft. We can do anything we want and you can't do anything about it. But we also suck, as evidenced by our crappy software being down. Hold on, you can resume your role as slave in a few hours!"

Hold on a second...I don't know about you, but my Hotmail accounts are FREE...so is MSN...If you paid for the service you would have a point.
As for Hotmail...I have three accounts and they have all recently been upgraded to 250MB inboxes...now that is a pretty good service...and FREE :)

"Hi. I'm Google. I am the world's most widely used search engine, and also provide a 1GB email service which is slowly taking over Microsoft's hotmail. We rarely ever get problems, and if we do, it is fixed within a couple of hours. We would like you to personally invite all of your buddies to Gmail yourself, and take credit for it, as we are not a greedy bunch of jerks. Have a nice day." :D

I hate Microsoft, but I'm not getting Apple and I'm too lazy to do much about anything. I sit back and wait. I still hate them.

Anyoen know if hotmail put a block on Gmail invites (illegal?) or whether they are diverted to the junk mail folder? I remember 911_Carrera sent me one but it never arrived :(
Not that I need 1GB of room, but you never know when someone might want to send me some pictures of themselves ;)

Lmao. "Pictures of themselves". I choose to ignore whatever hidden meaning that has.

I believe it goes to Junk Mail. I'm fairly positive on this.

There are plenty of other ways to get a free e-mail account...in fact, anyone who pays for e-mail is a fool (unless you need huge amounts of storage for business purposes or you run a website or you're addicted to porn or something). And they don't go offline NEARLY as often as hotmail does. The latest problem I had with my actual hotmail e-mail account was that I was getting e-mails 4 or 5 days after they were sent to me, which caused a lot of problems that I shouldn't have to deal with. Saying "But it's free" doesn't cut it...a lot of e-mail accounts are free, and less troublesome.

Show me a company that has the power to subtly manipulate whole parts of the internet to perform best with their own piece of **** browser (Internet Explorer) and I'll show you a company you should avoid at all costs.

It is possible to own a PC and not have it infected with Microsoft and AOL garbage, people! We can stop the giants!

I'm certainly not MS's biggest fan, I'm fed up with downloading security patches and critical updates. Also should I mention that I go to great lengths to remove their spyware in the form of index.dat files...are you aware that your computer logs every email you send and every web page you visit...yes even after you clear out your history folders...what this is really for I have no idea, but it eats up disk space.

I've never had any prob with Hotmail, it may be that the servers in your locale experienced problems rather than Hotmail itself.

btw I use Outlook Express to connect to my hotmail accounts, I don't go anywhere near there actual website

Well, my parents use Outlook Express, so I'm restricted to connecting via the internet. That's one thing I love about gmail: it's so fast. Hotmail was too slow for me, I use 56K.
