In series such as FIM World Superbike, Australian V8 Supercars, AMA Superbike, and select other series, you'll normally see certain races at a single venue. A few examples I can recall is the Australian V8 Supercar series. I heard of two or three race events at Adelaide's street course with the Aussie V8s. Now, if PD considers multi-race events in championships, there would have to be some races not run more than once. To use Australian V8 Supercars as an example, an example of a one-time deal is Australia's most prestigious race course, Bathurst. With the Bathurst 1000, it is more of a classic race that's a great year 'round event. Then too, I think Bathurst is a semi-permanent race course, so I don't think you'll see a lot of races at a track like Bathurst in one year. GTPlanet, would you want the next GT to feature a multi-race format in which you're at a certain track for a two or three-race weekend? To give you an idea, imagine a series like this: Autumn Ring Mini Normal, Grand Valley Reverse, Tokyo R246 Normal, Deep Forest Reverse, and Twin Ring Motegi East Short Course. Let's say that the first race will be a three-race deal, Grand Valley as a two-race event, Tokyo R246 as a two-race event, Deep Forest for three races, and Twin Ring Motegi East Short Course as a one or two race deal. GTPlanet, do you think for some championship series that a multi-race format should be adopted?
Other examples of championship series with multi-race events include GP2, most American sprint car series, Super Truck Racing in Europe, just to name a few.
