Multiple 1.01 updates?

Hey everyone. When I first played gt6 on my ps3, I was using a friends disc. Now I have my own and when I went to play, it's downloading the 1.01 update again. I can see my existing 1.01 game data file, so not sure why it is doing this. The only diff is my disc is from Asian region and his Aus version. I wouldn't have thought there was a difference?

For some reason the 1.01 patch is region specific. Not sure about you but my patch file is called "Gran Turismo 6 (UK)".
