Hello Everyone

I'm new here and couldn't find this using the search, but if it has been asked feel free to send me a link to the answer. Can you have multiple savegames on the same memory card with Gran Turismo 4? My roomate is buying it and i need to know whether or not i should get my own memory card.

Thanks!

Is there any chance you can save your savegame to USB storage?

I don't think Sony would shoot themselves in the foot like that. Perhaps the next Playstation will incorporate a memory stick reader like the PSP does. But I don't know if the PSP can use memory stick media for game data.

It loads just as quick as an sony memory card, is just 5 euros more expensive and works on every game. its just not Sony that produced it but Satel (thats an big hardware manufacturer)

My Memory card stuff: 32 MB of space

Dukes Of Hazzard: Return Of The General Lee(Game)
GTA:San Andreas(Game)
PS2 System Setup(System)
PS2 Network Online Disc settings(Online)
Hardware Online Arena(Game)
Medal of Honor : Rising Sun(Game)
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing savegame(Game)
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing Multiplayer profile 1(Game)
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing Multiplayer profile 2(Game)

Space left: 31 031 Kbytes left = more than 31 MB

Most likely a typo, but the company is Datel.

That's interesting; what's on your memory cards people? Let's list em.

GT4
3 Replay files
GT3 Game Data Save
GT4P Game Data Save
GTA: San Andreas Game Data Save
GTA: San Andreas Photos
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater (Which isn't such a good game, btw)
Katamari Damacy Game Data Save
Burnout 3 Game Data Save
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterly Game Data Save

A couple more, but I can't think of it. Basically it's all my important "I'm playing these recently" games. I have 2 other memory cards pretty much full of game saves, but those I hardly touch.

ONCE AND FOR ALL, SIMPLE QUIESTION, SIMPLE ANSWER :

CAN you have multiple profiles on one ps2 mem card ? If not, polyhpony is a ****in stupid company, even though they make the best game in the world. It is absurd if one can only have on save on one card, what if you have brothers or sisters, who also want to play the game .... anyway

Yes, I have had that problem too, but since my 8 year old brother erased my san andreas savedgame, I told him to get his own memory card. Don't want this to happen on GT4

I tried USB stick, you can Only use it at GT4 Replays and photos, no save games, and you can't use it on any other game.

That's why you get the AR Max Replay thing that allows you to copy memory cards to a USB drive and then from the USB drive to your computer.

But thats not very usefull , all the things to get an savegame to work, just get an 32 mb memory card, after a very long time make some space, and continue.

My gameshark Dongle has up to 5 memory cards in one, You can have up to 5 saves on one Dongle/Memory Card! And of course you can use it to ad codes to the game also! I personally wouldn't advise sharing a memory card with anyone, Accidents happen and it could cause for some serious mishaps if you were to loose 40 hours of Gameplay because of someone elso! :scared:
