Pictures are welcome! Show the beauties!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Also, because I forgot to place up a poll (:banghead: ), I'm asking those of which who post in here, is the 1969 Corvette C3 too fast?

aw... nuts. :D. Whoo hoo... another effin long stretch. Guess I'll be settling for about midfield again lol.

Poll answer:
That 'vette is kicking my arse. :(

Deep Forest, though...one of my favorite tracks of all time. Can't say I liked the GT2 version, but the GT4 version roXorz so methinks I'll have a bit of fun. I don't have as much drill team practice this week (though today is my birthday; who knows if I'll be doing anything for it this week) so hopefully I'll have a few hours of play time.

*shakes fist at drill team practice* Always stealing my time.... :ouch:

Happy birthday, mate! :D How old?

Prolly have splits in tonight.

Happy b-day RedWolf! :)

Anyway, here's my initial splits. I don't know how it'll fare against everyone else, but the C2 is loving this track. :)

T1: 25.346
T2: 54.807

I'm old enough to buy cigarettes and lottery tickets (18) so w00tzor. You would think I'd have a car by now, but nope. :indiff:

Does anyone here contribute to the wiki? I thought about that yesterday having already signed up to edit and wrote an article on the Charger. I thought it would be nice to start working on that part of the wiki, the one with all of the cars since it's nearly empty. That way, at any given time for any given race, you could link your car name in your sig to the wiki so people can see pictures and history, etc. It took me about 45 minutes to write the article, but still... lol Quite fulfilling for a morning I guess.

I'm going to play some GT4 tonight. Hopefully I can stay off the walls. There are a few places I know I'm going to have trouble. lol

I'm debating whether or not I should drop out after this week. The one thing that eats my time is drill team practice and I'll have it every day in March after this week, plus a drill competition each weekend after this until mid-April. It would be nice to compete but if I can't do it compentently (which means I need time) I'm not going to do it at all. I'm leaning more towards staying because it can be fun to come home and just have a nice calm drive with the roads to myself, but then there are days when I'm just kissing the wall too much. I'm not doing too well in this comp anyway. :ouch: So I think I'll just see how it goes this next week.

Good luck for this week, folks. :)

Edit: Looking at the bottom of the main page, I see that it's Mustang Man's 23rd birthday. Happy birthday! I know he dropped out but I'm hoping he still checks up and sees this. Otherwise I'll feel pretty dumb about this. lol

It would be sad to see you go, Red, but, I know how hectic it can get; I start managing Track after the 29th.

Sorry Jet, but I don't think I'll be able to compete THIS week.

I have just found out (quite painfully I can tell you) that I have a kidney infection. Its nothing major (I hope :) )But I just cannot shift it.

I might be able to practice when the painkillers kick in for an hour or two.
Then again, maybe I should try and get some sleep 💡

I'm hoping it will have calmed down ready for next the next round, but I've never had this before and my doctor can't see me for another six hours

Hope you had a good Birthday Red. and I will be sad to see the fight for tenth drop to the battle for eleventh between us,or at worst see you drop out completely :nervous: :nervous: .
Should be good fun none the less.

Keep it up guys, some impressive times coming through again 👍 👍

I appreciate all of that, guys. It's those kind of things that make me want to stay more. :) Unfortunately, available time is the real deciding factor....

I ran a few laps yesterday and did pretty good. I feel I can take off 3 seconds overall, 4 if I try really hard. I didn't write down my splits but I remember roughly what they were:

t1- 25.5
t2- 55.76

These times are approximate, but I know that I can attain them easily. My problem areas are the first "hairpin" turn (a bit wide to be a hairpin but it's a 180 so...), the hill right after, and the turn at the very top of the hill just near the end of the track. I was having problems at the bottom, but I just took a much much later apex than I originally was. I think I can gain one second at the first section, half a second at the bottom of the hill if I refine it, and another three-quarters of a second at the top. I'm going to have to improve everywhere else to reach my goal of 4.5 seconds overall.

Good luck, again. :D

Ran a few laps last night. I have a tendency to choke it seems! I can run really good splits only to mess up on an easy corner near the end of the course. But here are my best legal splits so far:

T1- 25.552
T2- 54.329

Well, I'm out of the series. My PS2 got knocked off my dresser, and for overheating and cleaning reason, I've been playing it with the top cover off. The entire disk reader and power/reset button unit are trashed.

I've got to wait until I get at least $150 to buy a new one.

just goto a pawn shop... you should be able to pick up a ps2 pretty cheap.

I could... If my entire paycheck didn't go towards other things. Since I only work 2 days a week and don't make much an hour, I'm lucky to have enough money to fill my gastank each week. :yuck:

23.202
49.280

I'm wondering what Doc is at...

EDIT

I have slightly slower splits but I absolutely nailed the end. Good luck Doc :)
