Museum Cards + Paint Chips???

Okay, a lot of people have been saying they're NOW, post 1.05 update, getting Paint Chips along with their Museum Cards. I'm still getting the Museum Cards, but NO Paint Chips with them. :indiff:

Anyone else not getting the Paint Chips? Or am I the only sorry sucker not getting them?
 
Yeah this seemed odd to me the other day. PD changed the rewards for some events in the update, so if you had gold in those events you recieved a new reward after the update (I recieved a new car as a revised reward), probably along with the museum cards since most people downloaded it in the morning. I think paint chips may have been rewards for these maybe, atleast that would explain why some get them and others dont, I didnt get any paint chips.
 
I got 5 cards and 5 chips post update and today 6 cards and 6 chips.

I think it has something to do with regions, I'm PAL

Yes it seems to be different all across the world, I've been reading some of the other threads and everyone in the EU got 6 paints and 6 cards today whereas US/Can/Aus seem to have got different.:sly:
 
Look at the other threads. In North America you get the paint chips, but there is no notice. At least that's how it's been for me

I don't think so.

I created a new account for my wife as she wanted to see "what all this fuss about GT5" was about and she had been accompanying me to track days and wanted to practice her driving.

That account had only won the Sunday Cup set of races and yet when she logged in she got given 5 Chips and 5 Museum cards.
 
The chips just show up in your paint items area. You don't get a message saying you received chips, but there will be some new ones there if you sort by date. If you have a bunch, it's hard to notice. I didn't until I looked closer and noticed a weird color that i was sure I hadn't ever purchased on a car.
 
Thats good news. I can't remember ever seeing a message saying I was receiving paint chips pre or post update. I have over 100 cars and am lvl 20 a and lvl 14 b-spec. Never did check the paint studio though.
 
Anyone actually had any good paint chips from this, though? :P

3 Days so far, I've had all Silver, Grey, White or Black chips - oh, except one in blue! :\

Thanks for that.. I too was mistified that I did not receive a message about new paint chips but once I checked the pain studio, true enough there were new paint chips that I do not remember ever purchasing cars with these colors.

This is true with me. 2 days straight now, it wont tell me it gives me paint, but it has. Some good and some eh, no specials yet though.

I keep hearing everyone talking about receiving paint chips when they sign on since the update, but I haven't seen any??
