Anyone working on a list of cars you must own to complete the game... IE: cars for the one make races or specific cars you'll need for special races - cars older then X, cars from Japan only, etc, etc.
So far I haven't had to buy much, I've been using mostly prize cars. In previous versions of the game a fun challenge was to beat the various races ONLY using prize cars, sometimes you had to do some serious tuning, but other times stock rides were fine.
Another technique is buying multiple purpose cars. For example a Mazda Miata is very useful because its a 90s car from Japan, its FR, its a light weight roadster (I believe that's a race) and its needed for a one make race. Thus you buy one car and get a lot of bang-for-the-buck.
