So I bought a mp3 player today, the muvo slim by creative labs and im having some trouble with it. I cant get my computer to recongnize it at all, I heard that it should just pop up in my "my computer" as a removable usb device on xp. I installed the drivers that came on the install cd but still no luck. Im running xp and usb 1.1

I realy want this thing to work, help me please :guilty:

With XP I wouldn't think you would need the driver, but I could be wrong. You could try uninstalling the driver and then connect the mp3 player to your pc. It should detect it and install the driver automatically, without the disc. Usually they send the disc for people like me who are running 98se and need the driver.

Are you sure your USB ports are working and enabled? On my ancient computer I had to enable my USB ports in the BIOS. I also had to get my motherboard driver CD and install the USB port divers.

I have a muvo tx, and no problems, does your slim connect using a cable or does it plug directly in? Because if it uses a lead, it could be that.
