I saved all of my money, and knowing the OCD will refresh soon this week, I decided to splurge 4 million earned CR, on the Formula 1 GT. What a fantastic ride! I can now continue to earn money from Winnings in the extreme races, and take this game to the next level. I am really enjoying the game as a whole, but I realize, that an even such as "Like the Wind" is clearly not meant for cars that do not match the typical opponents, including the Veyron. I spent a whole evening trying to "keep up" and the car , although fast, is not meant to "race around" in.
The formula GT made me fall in love with the GP tracks all over again.

Oh, right, question: what was your 1st large purchase, and was it worth it?

I admit it's a very enjoyable car, it also takes quite some skill to drive with a DS3, had great fun with it until I traded it for a Honda CR-X.

How much is considered to be "large"?
The first "large" one would be a TVR Tamora, as before I relied on prize cars.
Then comes Ford GT '06&Saleen S7, loved the car.
Then a JGTC vehicle, really broke after that. But since I won a seasonal..oh yes. Then saved for my FGT, first grinding vehicle. Then money became easy come easy go, cars ... easy come, never go.

One of my first was the Gillette Vertigo which was 2 million credits and it's a horrible car. I bought it to try and beat Like the Wind and it was like driving a boat.

The FGT is a great machine, very funny and effective... in the other hand, it's fictional... but at leaste is not so highly fictional like the X1 hahaha

My first large buy was a C9 Sauber that give me lots of good moments. I consider "large" any buy over the 2 millions because I don't dupe.

I purchase the C9 for that race  and kille'm all with it. So I won the Minolta that's another great ride.

That car is tricky. You need to tune it properly in order to get anything powerful from it.

Audi R8 Race Car (Team Playstation Oreca)

Fabulous buy and I was quite lucky to get it on my old save and new.

Lovely car and you can win it in a 24hr A-Spec though only a very few keenos did that. The trading value is great for the R8 Team Playstation Oreca too - for 1 day now. :(

The purple LM jaguar i bought for 4 million XJR or something to do like the wind and actually failed because of oil change and handling of the car check the UCD and FGT is there and me a million off it :(

i got it now :sly:

Formula gt that I never drive but gave to bob to help him win the championships. Now it's sitting in my garage collecting bits and bytes.

My first big purchase would the FGT. Been saving up for it since i found out it was available. Did all the seasonal events and finally got enough credits. I wanted an all black one like I had in GT4 but I settled for a silver and black one instead. It will be my favorite car once i get a setup that works nicely

Nice to know! I'm also on level 29 now and last night I was really eyeing that FGT in the online collector's dealership. Decided against buying it, but I just might snap it up tonight after reading your comments.

My first big purchase was the Pescarolo Courage C60 that I bought for 3 - 4 mil the other day. It looks stunning in the fluoro lime green. I was really craving for some lime to go with my rum & coke I was drinking at the time, so that probably influenced me a bit.

Was it worth it? Meh.. not really. Just another race car. I get more kicks out of driving my old BMW 2002 Turbo '73 around the Nurburgring. And the 2002 also comes in "Taiga Metallic", which is a type of not-quite-ripe-lime green.

U mean MILLION CAR ?

it was the Ferrari Enzo , but i aint sure if it was worth it :Q !!

1 milion !! costed me it , but im gonna save money too and buy a f1 car in these days !!

I had bought a few million dollar plus cars but the FGT is the most expensive car I've bought myself so far. I'm not counting the cars that were gifted to me by friends. I spent all morning Sunday tuning the FGT and it runs like a dream now.

I'm contemplating buying the Lexus LFA, because I think it looks sexy, that would be my biggest purchase so far as I'm living off of prize cars.

B-Spec remote race makes me so much money that I will be picking up the FGT as soon as I have the money and it shows up. I never got it in GT4, so I have to get it now.

My first multi-million credit buy was the FGT, but before that when I bought the Lambo Gallardo, it took most of my money, so I consider that a major purchase.

1st million cr car was my McLaren F1, ive always wanted one and this is probably the closest ill get to owing one, then i saved up for a ferrari F10. Both worth the money

Peugeot 908 HDI Fap. It has ~ 55000km now, including a 24h LeMans victory both for me and later the Bobs. I consider the car retired now and it was worth every credit.

Lol buy a custom tranny and that car will destroy like the wind.

1st big purchase was a silly one ..... the F10 Ferrari Formula 1 car !! Only to find out that that YOU CAN'T USE IT !!!! 🤬:banghead:
Took me aaages to save up for that beast !
Sweet car though and thanks to the Seasonal Events I FINALLY got to drive it for real and WOW !! Multi-Millions well spent (:

Haha, it was my first big purchase as well.
I knew there was a Formula GT championship and I was worried that the online dealership might get rid of the Formula GT

So when I had 4.02 million credits, I bought it
Although a blast to ride, I can barely race in that thing!!
XD

V12 LMR which I then proceeded to forget about and only remember about a month later... I did dupe and trade it a couple times though after I rediscovered it so can't complain that much.

My first large purchase was the R10, what a mistake that was when i found out about the Peugeot race cars in the premium dealership AND when i saw the OCD and saw the FGT there for the same price as the R10. :banghead: Now, the R10 is sitting in my GT5 garage collecting virtual dust since i can't sell the damn thing because of GT5's many stupid design choices. :grumpy: Whatever you do, just don't buy the R10. It's the slowest LMP car in the game and it doesn't even look that nice.

My first Multi Million purchase was a Peugeot 908 HDi... Great car, so great in fact I used it for grinding to get enough to buy the Matmut one right after I bought my first one.

My first 100,000 purchase was a MB C63 AMG... I got it right when the levels would allow me, waste of money at that point. Then I gave myself the upgrade to the LFA, thats a beauty as well... After that, I foolishly bought and upgraded a Shelby Cobra, hoping i could just walk away with the Historic Cup... Many hours of yelling later, I had won... But to my anger, I couldnt sell it...

My first big purchase was the Ford GT LM Spec II Race Car. Cost me 2.6m in the UCD. I used it for American Championship and Dream Car Championship, and later grinding the American Championship. I then bought the FGT also. It's one of my grind machines, although ironically I've only used it in 1 of the 3 enduros I've done. I've also shelled out 5 or 6 mil for cars I bought specifically for trading (as I had no interest in them) but with the new restrictions they'll just gather dust. D'oh! Although the Escudo does make a killer drag car for online.
