I like this track, and I figured it might not be the "most popular track" out there, so I gave it a shot at a time against.... I'm 4,000th!? (down from 6,000 1:24) at 1:21 in a Honda CRX. '83 & mid turbo, 197hp

I wish I had the same car as the leaderboard winner @1:14:xxx, to try, but having adjusted many settings on the CRX, I guess the Civic can shave an extra 7 seconds of time?

Also, I was fooling around with Rear Toe settings, set it a -1, and the sound of any indication of screeching comfort tires was gone, the car magically gripped the track, or perhaps I was deaf on all ears?
 
I have that Civic and I think it's a normal prize car. I got it very early on. Try selecting the Seasonal 80s races to filter your garage, it has more HP by default than allowed.
 
I wouldn’t get to disheartened, it’s incredibly close in the middle lap time range, I only improved my time by about 0.2 seconds and move up at least forty places.

You do win the Motul Civic for wining all the races in the A-Spec amateur Clubman cup, but I found it really hard to drive/set up and am faster with the MX-5.

BTW, not the top guy, he/she’s a credit to the GT5 driving community, but one or two of the top ten are quite blatantly bouncing of the wall to turn the car better.

I suppose if it doesn’t invalidate the lap it’s ok legally, but is it in the spirit of it?

In my opinion, those times should not count. I really wish PD would revert back to the TT setup that Prologue issued. Those were fun to me since i knew everyone was driving the exact same car / setup.
 
I sold a bunch of cars early in the game, in my GT career, to earn money to get that first dream car Lamborghini. Little did I know that I'd have 100 cars a month later, and 200K/day from "offline" B-Remote racing.
 
Man I had a crack in that Civic last night - I didn't realise it was an FF! I hate them but with appropriate throttle control that 890kg weight will let you go crazy fast. I'm enjoying my MR-2 though, went 219th last night and most importantly I beat my mate (who always beats me) woo!

You should work on getting more drivers out there to share. I'm getting 150-200k and up per driver per day, 6 drivers shared.

Good on you, I’ve got pants throttle control but thankfully I can’t see myself understeering off the track through all the tyre smoke. :)

I’m assuming one of the advantages of the civic is that it being a race car means is has front end down force.
 
Overall lower weight and downforce means this is capable of a better time but, to be honest, I'm surprised it's only maybe 5 tenths faster than my much much heavier MR-2. Really I'm surprised at the difference a proper drive train and weight distribution makes.

The downforce on this car isn't super-noticeable though, you're running on the threshold speed for aero effectiveness most of the time.

Given up on it now anyway. The MR-2 is way more fun.
