So yesterday morning i started the 24h Lemans race on Sarth and today this morning when i woke up i checked it and it was frozen at 12 hours. Im so pissed so I started the race again and hopefully it wont freeze again. Has this happened to anyone maybe even worse to some people?

Try disconnecting your PS3 from the internet. I have heard this happens to quite a few people and their solution was to disable the connection.

@19988pasha It wouldn't be that because the system would go into restoration mode.

You are lucky yours only froze. My PS3 died after the 24 hour race. No joke at all. The optical went out the very next day and would not work, then disk read errors right after that. It was a slim PS3 that was wasnt used very much and had plenty of ventilation and was plenty cool. So good luck to those that attempt these 24 hour races.

Well i have a ps3 slim and it wasnt hot and the fans werent going crazy and i left it signed out of psn because i have another ps3 slim that i was playing call of duty on lol

I know that feel, bro.

A few years ago I was b specing the 24h of Nurburgring on gt4 and my nephew ripped th power cord out on the 19th hour. I was fuming for the rest of the day, but it probably is my fault it happened.

Thats not the best thing that can happen during a 24h race, but still, looking at the other comments, youre lucky.. I have never had problem with this but it might happen to me to

When racing in b-spec instead of racing the full 24h,U can pit get out of the game go back to it next morning and carry on with the race, the gives an option, look out for it

Best method to run 24 hour without a hitch, is to leave the ps3 on the live timing screen, ps3 runs 30% cooler. basically it's not throwing around all the polygons, so effectively the gpu/cpu stay cooler reducing the chances of a problem.

Obviously make sure your ps3 is in a well ventilated area and on a flat surface anyway at all times of course!!

+1 / had the same problem some times when I for example went back from seasonals menu to main menu..

To prevent crashes just do the 24hours in 3 steps of 8 hours (like when you have to work or so).

p.s.: always do regularly save data on USb stick and then on PC!
One of my buddies crashed his save game and had to start from the very beginning... as you might guess he was not amused...

I did the first bspec 24hr race, it was find. Then my data corrupted I had to redo it, after doing it twice my PS3 slowed massively, but coped with the third well. It died recently, although im sure it wasn't related to the 24hr races. But I think GT and Sony are working together to weaken our PS3'S 💡
