My animated avatar's not animated!

My avatar is supposed to be animated, i went to the file in the folder and it was animated but it's not animated in my avatar, it's just still

anyone know why?

i just put it in like that and it must've resized itself

It may well be that the automatic resize function dropped the additional frames of the animated gif, only keeping the first one. You need to resize it by yourself, using a program capable of handling animated gifs.
