My attached pics lost?

I'm running IE8, and noticed that my attached pics on this post were missing.

What happened?

I can see them in firefox. Do a force refresh (shift and refresh I think) and see if that helps. Still you should be using a better browser

It doesn't work in IE8 for me, either - it seems the browser just doesn't like how the URL to those image attachments are formed. Because guests can't see those images, I'd always recommend hosting any image that you want to insert into a post on a third-party service such as the aforementioned TinyPic.com.

I've wondered this every single time everyone has had an issue with attached images. How much server load and space could you save by doing away with attached images? Personally I've always found the implementation pretty clumsy and generally it's much nicer to view images using the correct tags.

I did actually do away with image attachments shortly before GTPX was launched. Existing photos are still stored, but you can now only attach PDF, RAR, or ZIP files to new posts.

Jordan: The post I attached is from the past (GTP9 skin period). I attached the pics, as I (by then) do not know image hosting sites.
