It was an uploaded avatar, that appeared for about 5 minutes and suddenly disappeared.

Copyright violation?

For the record, if I remove your avatar, it won't show "the red x". There was probably just a temporary problem with the database.

Come on man, a good sys admin never puts claims on the problem. It's ALWAYS someone elses fault. That way you've bought time to figure out what's going on and fix it (:
