My AVG Antivirus won't work!

Okay, my PC is having serious problems, first, every morning when AVG tries to update itself, i get an error:


Also note the outlined balloon at the bottom, but i can't turn it on.

My next problem is, i open AVG, and if i click on anything, it stops responding:

I also get a balloon from AVG saying the 2 errors:


Can someone please help me? It hasn't updated for nearly 2 weeks!

Have you tried a manual update?

Reinstall AVG. 90% of the time reinstalls fix problems like these.

Yup. And check to see if it leaves any files left behind (settings, etc) and delete them as well. Something probably got corrupted somewhere and is causing the lockups.

I've got a similar problem on my laptop with my Anti-Virus. That is Nod, I hate it when a program cocks up.
