My best ever car sighting

Holy crap you guys are lucky. The nicest ones ive ever seen was the F355, 512M, 1996 Dodge Viper GTS, and the Maserati Spyder. Argh lucky peoples. I never get to go to car shows either. That will all change when I get my license though.

I sat in a Countach once. Black, 25th Ann.
I hit my head on the pillar.
Theres basicly nothing in it. Theres the gauges, the wheel, and some idiotlights lining the bottom of the dash. And thats it. The interior hardly fits the meaning of Basic.

I also sat in a 512TR, which upon getting in it, it was obviously more refined than that damn Countach was, and I didn't hurt myself in it.

And, the racelap in the F355 that I shall not rehash and retell the story, it's in the car stories thread.

And the best thing I've ever seen? Tossup. Depends on what you like and your limits on "Ohh you saw it at a show/race, that doesn't count"

Mclaren F1 GTR- New York International Auto Show
Ford GT40 Lemans Winner- Ferrari dealer in NY (It was being worked on, it was under a cover, when the Ferrari dealer employee was giving me a tour, I said "Is that a GT40 under that cover?" And he was stunned, that first off I knew what a GT40 was (I was like 12 or 13 at the time) and that I could tell what it was under a
cover.)
One of Alan Prost's F1 Car- Same place.
Ferrari 333SP - Same Place
1000 Ferrari's in one place - F355 Challenge, 1998, Lime Rock, CT.

Yeah, I guess some of us are lucky... I've sat in a Viper, nevermind seeing one about once every two weeks. Well, I DO have Grand Prix weekend in Montreal, where I spend more time downtown than at home (except at the track). Pretty much everybody with a nice car is out that Thursday night, trying to steal the Ferrari spotlight (Ferrari evening, the club has a huge get-together). This year was no exception. That same day I got a fairly nice ride with my dad's friend's 89 Testarossa. That weekend is amazing. Canada hasn't legalized Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIIIs here, but it seemed that one of the few Canadian owners decided to bring his out anyways. I don't think anyone cared, on both sides of the law. Then there is the traditional roll-out, where the whole street of 75 or so Ferraris light up and slowly pull away, one by one. Saw a rookie 360 Spider driver almost take out one section of spectators with a dummy move at the wheel... Siiiiiiigh.

Oh please, let's see some Lotus next year...

The rarest car I've ever sat in is a Viper SRT-10 at the chicago auto show... 👍

Beat a $150 ride in a Gallardo around Texas Motor Speedway for 2 laps with the infield.

Tis alright. The SRT-10 is a beauty, but the Mamba editions are gorgeous.

The rarest car I've ever seen is probably a Countach. I love about 2 miles from a country club and there are loads of Lambo's Porsches and Ferrari's in there. Some guy in my church owns 2 Ferrari's. A Testarossa and a 308. He also owns a Shelby Cobra kit car. It has a real 427 though. :D

Rarest car I've sat in would be a Lambo Countach. 👍

Aside carshows, I've been fortunate enough to see (and hear) an early Diablo at the age of 13, with a very cool owner who fully demonstrated the V12 soundtrack in 2nd gear, pulling from a light. Aside running into Ayrton Senna in the paddocks at the Canadian GP in 91, I don't think anything will even come remotely close. :D

Sounds like someone was doing a lot of praying to god when they were young, and God granted him.

@PunkRock, I bet that had to be an awesome experience. The roar of a Diablo is just too much of a legendary sound. Was it a VT model?

Honestly, I see more VTs than just the Diablo itself.

Red VT with tan interior, yep. It was like meeting God and Satan at the same time...

So, has anyone here actually seen a TVR Cerbera Speed 12? I know TVR only made 2 of them. They have only been shown at a few auto shows.

Famine, you never fail to make me laugh with your jokes.
Automotive Rape. lol

@ PunkRock:
Strange, I have seen so many, but never one with a Red Exterior and Tan Interior.

I might have actually seen one...just never close enough to see the interior.
That's what the Diablo's famous for. The only time when the 2 meet.

Hey, maybe you'll see one at that automotive club meet on christmas day!

Okay there is a chance the Countach is a replica, so i've been told, but it looked the part which is good enough for me. :)

Hopefully. I'm still amazed by what they've got on the member list, and what other cars the owners own.

I've seen a lot of 360 Modenas but the rarest Ferrari I've seen was a 1962 250 GT. I think there was 350 made. The 1962 250 GTO, the race car, is worth $10, 000, 000. Only 39 made is IMO the most beautiful car ever made.

My best car sighting up here was when I saw a yellow Corvette that passed by our bus stop most mornings. The best car sighting down in SC was a solid red Viper GTS.
