Ok, so I'm bored, and don't feel like driving.
So I just started the race.
Driver is L 39 1/4 way to 40.
Car X-1 just fully rebuilt.
Pace Set: Maintain
Started dry, soft slicks.
Lap 9 - Pit
Fuel 91 liters required
Tires still in good condition.
Mood bar is good, both strength's are low.
Just pitted: Lap 16
90 liters, tires still good.
Both strength bars gone.
This stint, I set it to Pace Down.
Will try to watch as much as I can and post, but it won't be as detailed.
Best Lap 2.30
Average 2:40 in traffic
Lap 24 Pit
88 Liters
Back to : Maintain Pace
Lap 28 : Starting do drive a little more aggressively.
Bumping cars out of his way, and spinning up the rear tires.
Mood bar is low, unless he's having difficulty passing.
Then it goes way up, and he starts really driving bad.
Lap 31 : Just clicked off a 2:36
Lap 33 : Pit 97 Liters - Tires more worn - been red often.
Lap 43 {2 hr mark} Pit 97 Liters---11 Lap Lead
Time for a nap for me.
Lap 61: Pit Same as the last few, I'm not coaching at all now.
It's just shy of 3 hours.
If it was summer, I would say it's about 7pm sun is just going away.
Lap 105 : Pit 5 hr Still some light car lights are on. 29 Lap lead.
Hour 8 Weather Clear
Lap 184 Pit + 39 Laps 8hr 50 minutes
Lap 190 Starting to rain- no spray coming off tires
Lap 220 he pits stays on softs 2:40 lap times
Lap 222 starting to see some spray
Lap 224 Pit Light- 1/2 tank more spray pits for intermediates.
Lap 227 I pit him for full rains, as his lap times are falling way off. He does not like my choice and wants to pit. Helping him to pass only, he's back down to 3.08's
Lap 233 he finally stops wanting to pit. Hour 11:15 + 53 Laps
Lap 264 HR 13 Still raining-- early dawn, but still dark.
Lap 270 :This sucks, should be sunrise, but it's still raining and overcast.
Lap 333 Hour 16:15 Rain is starting to taper off. 90 Lap lead.
Lap 353:Auto Pit: Rains Hour 18:05 Track is still wet, light rain, clearing skies.
Lap 400: Auto Pit:Intermediates HR 20:40 111 Lap Lead
Lap 468 : Race Over HR 24:01.30 +133 Laps

Keep me posted... I'm on level 34 and want to win my x2010...

I'm laid up in bed sick so I will be checking back.

I need to hurry up and finish the extreme series for both A and B Spec so I can enjoy these endurance races. Hopefully I'll be starting one tonight!!

I just left them and they ended up winning by 151 laps or something. Was a bit slower at the end when it started raining.

My notes:

1 - The X2010 doesn't have tyre wear like the other cars even though it moves 30-40 % faster around the track.

2 - The car is fictional and just adds to the various annoying things about this game.

3 - The AI drivers pit every lap towards the end because they're all worn out. Big-time gameplay issue.

4 - The X2010. See point 2 for more details.

5 - You can't have the B-spec drivers "auto manage", so you're stuck with two choices. One, nanny them around the track for the majority of the time. Or two, enter in a Formula GT or a X2010. However, as point 3 makes out, there is no point in bringing in ridiculous performance or a F1 car that can magically keep it up for 24 hours, because the game is flawed anyway.

Yup, that's way I'm posting this and updating so far, I've not been coaching much. Only to help him make a pass, and pit stops.
I've been increasing the fuel amount by 1-2 liters from what the AI suggests.
The X-1 is getting a lot worse fuel mileage than the rest of the field.

so if I enter with my 908 I'm going to struggle to keep up considering my Bob's will pit EVERY lap?

just disable the pit strategy and use soft tires, they will pit when the tire is worn out or they are close to running out of fuel.

No, you'll win because the other drivers will pit every lap, while you're smart and setting the "auto pit-in strenght level" to "off" or "0".

Doing this also lets your drivers rest for longer, gaining more strength. The AI, on the other hand does the opposite and goes in a downward spiral, resulting in a pit every lap.

This might be true. Noticed my drives changed quite often, and only when the tank was depleted.

Also, I noticed the R10 driven by the AI had slower lap times than the other LMP cars, but at the end went up to 2nd place after my X2010. I reckon this is because it is a diesel and spent less time in the pit than the rest. Would be interesting to do some research on this.

Nice. I just started my first B-Spec 24 hour race at around 3pm today. I'm letting them use the Minolta though. I occasionally switch back to the race to watch. I liked watching the sun go down.

Do you really need to watch him racing and couch him to do anything? I just start the race and go some place else, don't care how he drive, just wait until clock counts 24th hour.

Same.

Started one of my Bobs on the 24h Le Mans around 7pm yesterday (it's their 2nd Le Mans and I'm trying to get this particular Bob to level 40). He's in the X1, and when I checked in on him this morning he's got a massive lead and is lapping consistently 1 minute plus faster than the rest of the field... and that's in a pretty beat up X1 (over 10k miles and no rebuilds) in which the TC light is flickering most of the way down Mulsane.

If he's in the X1 you can just send him out and forget about him for 24 hours.

Started my 1st bspec 24 hour le mans race yesterday at 6pm. It's now 10.30 am, so roughly 16.5 hours in. I checked at 6am before I left for work and the single bob I selected was 65 laps up in the x1. Hopefully when I get in the ps3 is still working!

I only selected a single bob, because if I have to do it on my own, so can he.

I always just let him go also, but I wanted to see what happens with him doing a 24 alone.
Info has been updated again to hour 11:15

Only bothered doing this the One time . I didn't have a X1 and anyhow its the Le-Mans 24 Hours so figured on using a Proper LM car .

Settled on a Audi R8 as this seemed the best compromise in terms of Fuel and Tyre wear .

Picked 4 Bob's hit start and let them get on with it .

Checked on them when I could be bothered and it was close racing for the first 6 hours or so as they only held a one lap lead over another R8 .

But after 18 Hours they where 5 laps ahead and at race end they ended up 8 laps ahead of second place .

Really can't be bothered to do the same thing again so now the Bob's are farming the Dream Championship to slowly raise themselves to level 40 for the last 24 Hour Race and i'm making lots of CR off them :)

Audi reckon that deisel saves about 1 lap per tank and that adds up over 24 hours

Yeah, and I really wanted to buy the R10 as my 1st high end race car.
Bought the 908 instead. After saving up, I bought the R10.
Nice car, but kind of a pig after driving the Minolta for a while.
Which by the way is my favorite. Not sure why people are having a hard time driving it. I destroy the field every time I race it, except in the rain.
