That you all wish you had...

So, lets go over a few specifications:

Abit IC7-G MaxII mobo
P4 2.8GHz 800MHz FSB w/HT
512MB PC3700 running dual channel
GF4 FX5200 128MB "Bloody Monster" He's not into gaming, like, at all. And even if he does play games, he could play 1024x768 with like 3x-4x AA and what's not.
MSI CDRW/DVD Combo Drive(I believe it to be 48x24x48x16)
WD SATA 120GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache HD
Ultra Dragon black ultra glossy case
500 watt Ultra PSU
10/100/1000 Onboard LAN
17" 16ms RT LCD monitor(Planear or something)
Like...A lot of fans.
Optical Mouse
Windows 2000 Pro

Umm, how about a few quick pictures.

Still haven't found the "right" keyboard.

That would be memory for an AMD xp processor...
Pentiums do not use pc3700.
He may have DDR SDRAM 512MB dual channel.

I use PC 3200 myself on my amd xp 2600.
I have pretty much everything he does. Better mouse (cause I bought the best damn one around) ok keyboard, more HD space, bigger monitor (still LCD), same videocard, S.B. Audigy, Windows XP Pro.

My case is a lot worse, that looks very cool.

They are close in competition, :P What's up with the room, very messy, and that's a strange computer desk.

Doesn't have a computer desk yet, those are all boxes from the PC compents.

Umm - PCxxxx is the speed rating, DDR is just double data rate, and SDRAM is a given, AMDs and P4s use the same RAM, ddr sdram that is. Older P4s used RDRAM, but that technology is far obsolete. P4s just usually run dual channel. Since PC3200 is 400MHz, you run dual channel on the P4 and get 800 (400x2=800). In this case, PC3700 was used because he will be OCing the CPU to as close to 1000MHz FSB as he can get(pc3700=466x2=932, which is pretty close to 1000).

That motherboard has 5.1 sound, optical out and in, pluse like 5 3mm jacks. It also has every possible future.

$20 says his response time is lower on his LCD than yours.

We would have gone with XP Pro, but 2000 Pro is just so much better.

His OCed P4(will be pretty close to 3.5GHz with 1000MHz FSB) will kill your AMD!!!1!!

Actually, I'm an AMD guy, prefer it any day. But, this system is pretty darn nice...

I think it's more of a hard clear plastic. But, I've never used one.

Now that I look at it harder it does seem to look like a regular keyboard, just transparent keys.

He could use a real computer desk. I put more value and importance into the desk than the computer. Heck, I'm using a 4 year old computer at home. But my desk is awesome (:

He's going to get some kind of fancy glass one or something. Supposidly it's nice, but he hasn't gotten it yet. That's not a desk, just a little table infront of his couch, it's only temporary.

Heh, yeah I kind of thought that and was mildly joking about it. But I do think proper computing environments are very important.

I couldn't agree with you more.

I'm just loyal to my Asus :D

It's wierd, every single one of Burnouts linked images always turn up as red x's for me :odd:
Hey, they're on GTP's server...

That mess, it's from building the PC. It'll be gone soon.

About Nvidia - Within the price range there was a 9200 or a FX5200. After thoroughly looking into it, we found that most reviews admited the FX5200 to being a much better card in that price range. So far it's been pretty good.

He almost got the Asus P4P800 but it was ugly. This board is black with some blue, which is exactly his color theme. It's actually pretty darn nice, the IC7-G being of the the best boards out there and all.

Heh, his 3D Mark 2001SE score is only 4787(1024x768 no AA)

Nice one! 👍

I'm still waiting to buy a PC. Those damn HD PC's are taking they're time, but at least I'm seeing a lot more widescreen LCDs coming out, and Blu-ray got released, in Japan, finally.

Soon.

Like, high diffinition PCs?

Build your own computer and just buy a video card that has it on there.

Of course, you could have meant hard drive, or something....:odd:

Well, I just find that Nvidia's cards out preform the ATI conterpart in most value based or lower end graphics cards. Up at about mid-high - high ATI takes over.

Hey, I don't have anything wrong with cheap.:)
