wait if the legal limit for drivers under 21 is .02 and you got that same whopping result on your breathilizer isn't that underage drinking. Plus you were at the park when it was closed.
The359If you don't want to have run ins with the cops, if you don't want to end up in the back of a police car, then, *DUH*, don't blatantly break the law.![]()
Usually, there's a margin of error in a Breathalyzer test, so .02 is fairly low, if not close to the normal alcohol level that naturally occurs in one's body.The359"Oh, a whooping .02!" Hey, guess what here chuckles, .000000000001 is still illegal, just the same as .02.
SublimeDood10Our family has a very good lawyer, and we're going to take it to court and either get them to totally dismiss it, or at least get it down to community service. It's my first ever encounter with police in my life, so my record is completely clean.
The359Jesus, you're an ass. The cop busted you for doing something illegal you come here and say that you did something illegal, but you're going to sue anyway?
And here's some facts, chuckles:
http://www.pa-drunkdrivinglawyer.com/underage-drinking.htm
"In Pennsylvania, it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to drink alcohol and for anyone over the age of 21 to provide alcohol to a minor. The penalty for underage drinking is a fine of up to $500.00 and driver's license suspension. The minimum fine for a first offense of providing alcohol to minors is $1,000.00."
If you drink alcohol while under the age of 21, you're breaking the law, regardless of what any breathalizer read.
Famine18 year old adults drinking?
Jesus, the US must be one crazy place, filled with drunks.
IT IS!! I hate the young drunkard crowd, they are so pathetic.Famine18 year old adults drinking?

ledhed359..you said he's an Idiot ? Going to lawyer to protect your rights is not the same a suing . Grow the %$#@ up. Everyone deserves to protect themselves. hiring a lawyer when you are charged with a crime is the smartest thing you can do, after all its only going to affect you possibily for the rest of your life. Maybe when you are old enough to be off the tit you will realise that. I hope one day the words you are spewing out in this thread do not come around to bite you in the ass when you make a mistake. When you do be sure to get a lawyer moron.
SublimeDood10I know that it is illegal to drink under 21. I'm not trying to claim that anything I did was legal. At the same time, I am trying to show people that not all 18 year olds who drink are going to get completely hammered and endanger those around them. In any other country other than America, 18 year olds are responsible enough to drink, yet for some magical reason just because I was born in America, I'm not reponsible enough to enjoy a beer. Either change the draft age to 21, or change the drinking age to 18. If I'm old enough to be able to be drafted into the army by my country, I think I am also old enough to sit down at a bar and order a beer.
As for you calling me an idiot for hiring a lawyer, I am simply protecting my rights, just as ledhed said. If I have the resources to get a lawyer to help protect me, I am sure as hell going to do it. Also, who said I was going to sue? You'd make a great cop, you should look into it. This state needs more brainless, rule-crazy, ass****s like you to keep all of us horrible kids in line. I probably would have ended up face-down in some gutter, since you said I was so intoxicated from that one beer. Thank God that cop came and saved my life.
The359Hey, guess what there chuckles, most kids in Europe are also brought up to respect alcohol by their parents. Different culture, different laws.
SublimeDood10You'd rather give 18 year olds deadly weapons than give us alcohol?
I don't know about you, but I see something wrong with that picture.
FamineYet we, in Britain, have a higher number of underage drinkers (proportionally) than the USA despite our legal drinking age being 3 years lower... And let's not even begin to mention that most town centres are no-go areas at 11.30pm (chucking out time) on a Friday/Saturday. Or football riots. We don't allow alcohol into our sports stadia at all...
In the UK, a child is allowed to drink at home with parental supervision at the age of 5 (and that's really a law. Seriously). It used to be the case, as in France, that most families had a meal together once a day with wine accompanying it, but it's sadly a dying trend. At 16 you are allowed alcohol in pubs with parental supervision. At 18 you can buy your own.
It's illegal to bring your own alcohol in most public places in the US; in Florida you can get arrested for bringing a flask (ah, but it's fun!) into a concert or sporting event. It usually depends on the state/city laws, or the venue.FamineWe don't allow alcohol into our sports stadia at all...
The359Are you dense or just dumb? Do you think the Army just goes "Here, have an AK-47, do whatever the hell you want with it..." No, they teach a little thing called respect and educate them on when and when not to use a weapon.
pupikOn the other hand, I'massuming you can purchase an "adult libation " at a football match in the UK, right? Or get hammered at the stands at Silverstone? Have a pint in a plastic cup at concert in Wembley Stadium, right?
i like that episode too.milefileI love that episode of the Simpsons where the ticket guy at Euro Itchy and Scratchy Land begs for business because his last paycheck bounced and his "children need wine".
