My car got hit by a run away driver......

It was one thing to hit my car, but did this a@@hole have scrape the side of my car. And now I cant get my rear wheel off to change it and its bent in little. Car was parked on the street. 2004 Mazda 3 5-door. Happened sometime sunday night.

Has this ever happened to anyone here? I'll take pics Monday. I just hope i get a loaner car and quick so i dont miss more than one day of work.
 
Violence won't solve anything. Post a notice for a reward for information on what might have happened that night, because if there's no information on the insurance company that insures the guy who hit you you could be SOL.

Well, he isn't a poor teenager like me, so he probably has comprehensive coverage. :lol: Whether or not his company covers hit-and-runs is another question, but I assume the answer would be "yes."
 
They should cover it since it wasn't his fault, and he was just parked there. He should call the cops though and make a report. In Canada, if you have damage to your car, a shop can't legally fix it without either a police report or police damage report sticker on the car. Also, if theres paint transfer, it might help in finding the guy. Hit and runs are pretty serious offenses up here.
 
your own insurance will cover it, if it's expensive, and it sounds like it is. considering the car is relatively new i assume you have collision coverage...?
