Early this morning at about 2:30 two kids broke into my car. The alarm went off and I quick got up and ran to the window. I saw the two kids in my car. So I grabbed my hockey stick and ran out there. But when I got to the car they had already ran off. I pretty pissed off. :mad:
They took all my CD's (about 40), some change, my phone, my steering wheel, and my shift knob. They also busted out my side windows and slashed my passenger side tires.
I went to the pawn shop thats downtown but nothing was there. Also the police said there wasn't much I could do.
The insurence company is going to give me something but it won't be much. :(
 
Damn, sorry to hear that Streetracer. What's wrong with some of these kids??? They see a nice car, so they gotta break in or steal it.:rolleyes:
 
Well atleast they didnt take the entire car, like in PunkRocks case,
Be happy for that.
 
Ya I'm glad they didn't steal it cause then what whould i drive.

I hope they find my stuff.
 
Freaking bastards, if that happened to me I would hunt the bastards down. Hope you get all the stuff restored m8...
 
Ya i would hunt them down but I can't drive cause i have no steering wheel. And I can't get another one cause mine was a GT style wheel. Now I got to drive around my mom's PT Crusier when I want to go some where. My girlfriend is going to laugh when I pick her up tonight in a Crusier.

You're either insured or not insured against theft, so you either get everything paid for, or you don't. I don't think insurance companies are in a negotiable position towards their clients...
 
I'm not driving a PT. I hate that car. I'll walk.

I can get a GT wheel but it will take about 3-4 days to get one. ANd the Honda dealer ship isn't open today so I cant go down there and see if they have a stock one.
 
Well I'm insured against theft but still I don;t think I'll get that much.

I don't know what they do about interior stuff like my steering wheel ($250) or my shifter ($50). Will they pay for that?

Sure, as long as it got stolen they are going to have to pay for it.

Dude, I'm really sorry to hear about this whole thing - I see your car in your avatar and I know you spent a lot of work on it.

Whether your insurance company pays for the steering wheel and shifter (which aren't commonly stolen :lol: ) is actually up to you - if you insured the car while the custom shifter and wheel were in place, the insurance company must pay for it. Otherwise, they may pay for it but I don't think they're forced to.

I'm going to check with them tommarrow and see what they have to tell me.
 
Also I really don't live in a big city. I live about 30 miles from Flint.
 
Nice, but streetracer you should rather call the police first then the insurance company because those ****en teenagers commited petty theft auto, which is stealing the parts of your car and your own personal stuff! :p :p :(
 
Because PR's case was involved by a person who commited grand theft auto (get it? :p ) and now your case was involved by two stupid sons of *****es who commited petty theft auto. How was that? It could be moved to the Comedy Corner but it is serious now.
