Ok that's awesome than. Wasn't quite sure why you would put a web cam to film your face when driving for anyway lol

LMAO nah im not that vain... LOL... still in progress... waiting for other stuff to come in... soon i will be selling the wheel maybe getting the CST Elite... but that all depends since its selling for $500+

clean job sean05, i do the same with the cords and use a usb extension. question about the seat ...do your legs rest or rub against the post when doing footwork/clutch?

Nice rig man. I wanted to know if you were able to do anything about the wobbliness of the the wheel mounting platform (maybe like stuffing cloth between the piping). I tried it at a store here in Japan with the T500rs and I was surprised on how much play the wheel had. Almost a year ago, I decided to buy the Evo Alcantara model over this simply because of that reason. I do love how your legs are more free for the pedals compared to mine though. I have to offset mine a bit to make it just right.
Great Job on your modded rig!

I heard some people complaining about this a while ago, but I really think it depends on your weight (or having thunder thighs). For me being average 34in waist, this seat is really comfortable and the bar doesn't rub in any distracting way. But I guarantee if someone has a 38 in. waist, then the bar may cause discomfort.

Wobbliness is the most ready rigs nightmare. Thats why i did mine all by myself. In the end it turns out thats much cheaper and almost free if you find good car seat on some scrapyard. Depends on the material you will use, if it's steel pipe, wood, or pcv pipes it could be almost free and custom setup just for you.

Those ready rigs are badly made and you have to put some extra work to make them better.

I've had the playseat for almost 2 month and play it daily... My legs are perfect no issue on rubbing... even when using heel toe even when its so intense that sometimes you get confused on what to press it still doesnt rub... LOL

hmmm i havent read reviews on the GT5 Playseat... but i have no issue on wobble mine is so stiff and stable... my legs doesnt rub againt the bar at all even my friends are at 200pnds in weight and hes 5'6 (just a reference) and had no issue. now that you guys mentioned it looks like that everyone with the issue are people using the WRZ.. i dont know this thing doesnt wobble at all...

i wanted to make the cockpit from scratch but with no time i say screw it... plus the GT5 to be honest... they are pretty damn well made... plus i cant have a just some random seat and wood or PVC piping in my house... just doesnt flow well with stuff in my house... my wife would kill me and plus im pretty sure shes going to trash it if im not watching... LOL

Great rig Sean. 👍

I'm looking at making a SLI like yours. Would you mind sharing how you are making yours?

the shift light is very tricky... you have to find an LED that is .3-5 volts... yes thats right its point 3 not even 1volt... i got the light from my BMW E92 M3 shift knob. i gutted the shift knob cause the 123-6 lights up... so i gutted the entire shift light just for this... then i had to mod that due to the circuit board had a chip that transfer the voltage from .3-5v to 12v...

the light housing is autometer... it was from my previous cars maybe 10 years ago...

then i removed the lights inside the housing then solder it.. now as far as how to connect it into the steering wheel..

1. remove the steering wheel
2. remove the circuit board
3. solder a very thin solid wire (wire that does not separate when you take the rubber out) sorry forgot whats it called.... to the red light shift light that is built in the steering wheel.
4. now you have to open the entire steering wheel case to run the wire inside the housing... (its a bitch to do this)
5. there are more steps... but i dont remember at this point.
