60 days, 22 hours, 53 minutes, and 9 seconds straight!!! at least at the time of taking that pic. 60 days, 2 whole months w/out a crash, reboot, or otherwise annoying problems. wooo!!! Thats gotta be some kinda new record for me. I think its time to reboot now....i just hope she starts back up!!

forget all time record for you, I think that's an all time record for windows xp in itself

My pc should easily do a month at a time with no sweat but my stupid sister in her stupid ways reboots my pc every time the damn antivirus starts scanning :irked: I NEVER get a 100% complete scan because of her

haha, yeah im surprised it made it that long myself. and it even rebooted w/ no problems! haha...i wonder why my computers being so nice to me :odd:

I agree with vat. Beside's when my computer is on, I hate having to listen to the internal parts and there sounds, including my noisy fan. :yuck:

I usually reboot once a week. Unless you count tonight...which was about 10 times. Damn spyware.

Mine would too if it wasn't for my damn 5 year old 4GB HDD screaming away. And no, it's not my main HDD. It's just a slave I use for music, but it will soon need replacing. :grumpy:

You guys got nothin' on me. Mine has been running since early March, no restarts, no crashes.

I like your avatar, Shannon. I'd definitely get involved with her. :)

I lasted my entire college year with just one shutdown/restart process, also no errors. 60 days is nice, but I think mine was about 130 days up.

I used to shut mine off every night...but i found it had more problems when I did that...so i just leave it on now, and its been runnin like a champ. Hell, any computer class ive taken/book ive read says its better to leave it on anyways, so it seems to be workin out pretty well.

and skyline, its a simple little program called Coolmon, just go to www.majorgeeks.com and do a search for it and you should find it

my bro had his crappy-a$$ windows 2000 machine (300MHz) on for 30 days straight. it only turned off because of a power-outage...

2000 Pro is better then 98 SE, simply because it can handle NT ops. Just a thought, because you could find it for relatively cheap, or even free.

I can't remember the last time most of the computers in the house I admin have had a restart.

XP Pro is pretty darn stable, as is 2000 Pro.

30 days for me.. yeah a powerouttage got to me before my parents did :-/ also got to my ps2 which is always on
