Hello.

Something weird happened to my DFGT wheel few days ago. I connected it to PS3 but it didn't react (all buttons didn't function even in the XMB, the wheel didn't spin around, there was no FF and the button with GT Logo didn't light). I reconnected my wheel many times but it change nothing. Suddenly after half an hour it worked as usual. Everything acted normally. Yesterday, while playing GT5 the same happened to my wheel. It completely stopped working. And again after a couple of minutes it started functioning as usual.

Has something similar ever happened to your DFGT? And after that, within couple of days, did your wheel break down completely?

I'm asking because my wheel's warranty expires on 31 January 2013. I don't know what to do (I didn't record when my wheel was broken). I'm afraid that the service may dismiss my claim because I can't prove that temporary disfunction.

Have you tried the other USB port on the PS3? Are you using a USB-Hub? If so is it a powered hub? If not use a powered hub.

It could be the power supply for it is failing. When it works does it work fine overall?

Just call support and request an RMA for it. If you are worried, video the incident. Make sure in the video you try and show your serial number so Logitech can see it's your wheel having the problem.

Im actually on my third DFGT set now (2 replacements) Both times due to pedal problems rather than the wheel itself. My post is to assure you that you will have no problems with Logitech their aftercare service is probably the best ive ever come across they couldnt be more helpful and understanding:) So if it is a minor wheel fault get in touch with them for a no quibble replacement within 2 weeks your be up and running again.👍

Both USB on my PS3 work normally. I checked them immediately by inserting a pendrive and charging my DS3 and everything was ok with them. I also plugged the wheel into another socket but it didn't change anything. Sometimes, while reconnection the button with GT Logo flashed for a split second but the wheel didn't work.

Since these two failures described in my first post the wheel has been working as usual.

But after Christmas I'm going to send the wheel for warranty. I risk nothing.
