Hi everyone! Before I begin with my boring questions, I want to point out that I've used the search bar for some sort of FAQ thread on this side of the forums to post my questions. I failed to find one, so I created my own.
SO! Here is the background story...early in 2009 I purchased a brand new Driving Force GT. Back then I used it mainly for GT4 and then GT5 Prologue. My driving technique improved massively, so much in fact that has made it impossible for me to "drive" again with a controller. From that point on ANY car game that I play had to be with my loyal DFGT.
It has been two years ever since I last used my DFGT in any way, has I had to move away from my home in Portugal to the UK and couldn't bring it with me. Recently I went back to Portugal for two weeks and played a few driving games in my PS2. It felt great. It was like riding a bicycle, you never forget.
However, when I finally managed to get my DFGT to my home in the UK, where I am now, it just doesn't feel the same...something just isn't right. I mean...I can finally get some control on the X1, and my times have improved a lot, I even tried the GT Academy and things went great too. However, the next day, when attempting the time trials of Nurburgring with an EVO X, things just went...weird...I had to turn the wheel 180 degrees in order for the car to make the first corner after the START fades.
I just can't understand, I tried with other cars and other games, and the car steering just doesn't correspond to the amount of steering that I'm applying.
So, my question would be...is this just a matter of me getting used to it? Because if it is, why did it felt great with my PS2 two weeks ago?
Do I need to adjust some sort of advance settings? does the controller settings somehow are in conflict with the wheel settings?
I'm sure if I made read too much, but I just want to make clear that this is not my first time driving with a wheel. Hope to find a solution soon. Thanks everyone!
