Hey GTP, im kinda new here.

Well, i just got my DFP and set it up. Its really simple for now, but its comfy. I plan to get some type of seat later with everything and better TV when GT4 comes out. Its pure sweetness, jus gotta get used to it. Anyways, i wanted ask a question, is it normal for beginners with a wheel to wobble back and forth and the car jus starts sliding or is it because the wheel is not stable? Probably a dumb question though. It doesnt make any particularly weird sounds, only if its riding on grass or gravel. Anyways, just wanted to share that with everyone.

Thanks, yeah, there are better setups out there. Mine is jus simple and comfortable to say the least. I worked out too much so my arms kinda hurt, hurts even turning the wheel :ouch:

i HATE wires....my room is like 16 percent wires. i got laptop lines, phone lines, electrical cords, sound system lines, dfp lines, ps2 lines, piano lines, its NUTS!

cool set up, and a LOT less cluttered than mine. lol.

seriously, everything should just be made wireless. And even wireless things have wires. or they should have invisible cords or something lol.

Better then my "mobile" setup. Good stuff.

Yeah, the wheel is awesome, but im not haha. Im still trying to get used to it. I cleaned out my garage and plan to just practice with one car until im good with it. Anybody recommend a good balanced car and has the potential to be a good drift car? I was thinking the 200SX but i dunno, that car doesnt feel very balanced.

Oh by the way, is the old WRX anygood for drifting?

Nice setup! i cant wait till i get my own DFP.
as far as drift cars go, i like the AE86 SS and S14, they are both very balanced to me, but you should checkout the drift fourm!

Any of the Silvias (S13, RPS13, S14)... They all have good balance and good engine response...

The WRX STI Ver. VI is one of my favorite drift cars, as well as the 22B...

;)

yeah, i was thinking the RPS13 would be a good car too. I was practicing with the wheel today, damn i feel sexy going through the shifting motions on the DFP :sly:

I think the wheel is awesome, i wish everyone would have money to buy one. Dont worry though, save up! and buy it! it makes Gran Turismo THAT much more fun.

Nice setup, looks kinda laike mine ... but with less cables (I got this connected to PC Monitor so there are cables from PC all over the table, for both my wheels, which are both used on PS2 and PC :). Nice ...

I wish they would have reduced the number of wires. It could have been much cleaner. Or at least not use the wheel as the base station where everything plugs in. If the peddals had been the base station I think it would have been much 'cleaner', better organized, whatever. And also put more weight in the peddals so they don't slide around.

If only BlueTooth was used more widely...

You need a better chair! Or atleast something with padded arm rests.

The next generation of consoles need Bluetooth (wireless at a minimum, BT is a technology standard ...). All controllers should be wireless. And to kick it up a notch, remotes for TVs and other devices could be Bluetooth as well. RF is so much better than IR.

HAHA, i do have a better chair, but it hurts my back after a long time. so..then i guess that doesnt make it a better chair...hmmm, i need a better chair... :ouch: .

I wish these things had less wires also. But i guess its more stable this way rather than having them high tech stuff. Or its jus that the amount of money they put into making those with high tech devices just isnt worth it. Not a lot of marginal profit i guess.

so far, the best ive gotten with it on Midfield is a 57 seconds in my F1. Thats not very good, but still trying to get used to the wheel.

Get one of those massage chaires an a big screen with suround sound! But thats a good setup . Clean!
